@Michel Kohanim, I've got 3 Eve Energy devices running on an Apple TV border router. They are not in any critical application right now, so I'm happy to help test when you have something available. Mark

Support thread for: PG3x v3.2.27 (June 11th, 2024)
mbking replied to bmercier's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
I'm going to wait. No features in this update I have to have right now. Everything is running nicely right now. -
I deleted them from the PG3 interface and that deleted them from IoX. Cleaned everything up. Thanks.

Ross, thanks for reminding me. I was in a hurry and it slipped my mind. Thanks again.

@bpwwer, hail took out by old weather station and I've now replaced it with another Ambient Weather station. I deleted the old station on my Ambient Weather network and when I restarted the Ambient Weather node server, it saw the new one but kept the nodes for the old one. What's the best way to get rid of the old nodes: Delete and reinstall the node server or manually delete the nodes in either IoX or PG3? Mark

Any update on the Matter integration
mbking replied to Frederic's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
This doesn't answer the question as to when we might see the Matter integration, but I have started adding Thread devices to my house using Apple TV's as the Thread Border Routers. I will be using the Apple TV's as my cable TV box as I phase out the physical boxes from Spectrum. This means the Apple TV's are spread around the house setting up a large Thread mesh network. I bought 3 Eve Energy plugs which are routers themselves and added them to the Thread mesh. With that , I already have the Thread network running and am getting some experience with it. I used the Eve Home app to add the switches and that app gives you a really good map of the thread network. I can control the devices via the Eve Home app or HomeKit. They automatically show up in both. I'm hoping that when Matter integration is added to Eisy, it should see the existing Thread network and allow me to include the Eve Energy switches in my Eisy programming. The switches are very fast, much like Insteon and much faster than Z-Wave. So far, I'm pleased with the quality of the Eve Home switches and the ease of setting up the Matter/Thread system. -
@Geddy, thanks for the reply. The topic I was referring to is: However, Javi recently marked his reply as the "Solution" which is what I thought I needed to do. Your explanation cleared this up. Thanks.
-
Thought this would be obvious, but I can't figure out how to mark a post as the "solution" to an issue I add to the forum. Can someone post the steps?
-
That fixed it. Hadn't tried that. Thanks, @Javi.

@Javi, with one of the recent updates to UD Mobile iOS(currently 1.1.39), my camera favorites lost the video image. The tile shows a camera icon, but there is no video. I verified that I have video from the cameras in My Cameras. I deleted the favorites and re-added them, but still no video in Favorites. What am I missing or is this a bug?

Updated IoX and PG3 yesterday. Smooth as silk.
-
Updated PG3 to 3.2.10 and IoX updated from 5.7.0_1 to 5.7.0_4. After the first reboot, my programs were disabled. A second reboot of eisy re-enabled the correct programs. What is the command for retrieving the error log? Can't remember. Once I have that I'll submit a ticket.
-
@bmercier, upgradeStatus is "inactive".
-
@Geddy, I was on IoX 5.7.0 when I ran the update yesterday. Using the link you provided (thanks for that), It shows version 5.7.0_1 installed on Sept 16th.
-
Update process was clean, but all my IoX programs were disabled after the update. That's a little strange since the update was for PG3. Easy fix.
-
Successfully upgraded on eisy to IoX 5.7.0 and PG3 3.2.6. Special kudos to @jkosharek for publishing the method to watch the upgrade via ssh into eisy. sudo tail -f /var/udx/logs/log This gives me peace of mind being able to see the update process proceed and the output should be a help to support if there is an issue during the upgrade.

@gzahar, UDI did make changes to start.jnpl to get rid of the error message.

Support thread for: PG3x v3.2.3 (August 29th, 2023)
mbking replied to bmercier's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
@Geddy, No luck. I followed all the steps and I'm still getting duplicates and the error message. Fortunately, I can still get to the Admin Console, but my engineering mind wants to solve the mystery. -

@Geddy, Thanks for the reply. I cleared the Java cache, deleted the recommended files and downloaded the latest start file, but I still get the additional instance and the error message. As you said, as long as I can login, I'm good for now. I'm still hoping for a fix to clear it up. -
Support thread for: PG3x v3.2.3 (August 29th, 2023)
mbking replied to bmercier's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
@bmercier, Shortly after a successful upgrade of PG3 to 3.2.3, I noticed a change in IoX Launcher. It now shows 2 instances of my eisy and generates a Not Found error. The instances are the same except for the URL. The first one looks like this: https://eisy.local:8443/desc The second one replaces eisy.local with the actual IP address of eisy. Both instances launch eisy successfully via the cloud. I did some work within the Admin Console right after the upgrade and I did not see this behavior. But several hours later, I started seeing the 2 instances along with the error message. I'm not able to delete either instance. I'm curious what this might be and wondering if anyone else is seeing this. Maybe something changed on the back end. Mark -
@Javi, it was a production version. I’ll try again when a node server needs to be updated.

Support thread for: PG3x v3.2.1 (August 14th, 2023)
mbking replied to bmercier's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
@kzboray, don't know if this is your situation, but when I ran the PG3 update and selected Re-Install of all node servers, it updated the first 4 OK, but then stalled when trying to re-install the 5th one. The node server was in a dis-connected state. I first re-started it and it connected, but the version changed to 3.2.1, the same as the new PG3 version. I then re-installed it and the version updated to the correct version for that node server. Again, not sure if this fits your situation, but I thought I'd put it out there as a possibility. -
I tried for the first time to update a node server from UD Mobile and I received the following error message: The node server disconnected and did not update. Using the PG3 web interface, I restarted the node server and it restarted with the old version. A re-install was successful. I have version 3.2.1 of PG3, so there may be something new there that caused the problem.

Installed the upgrade last night, but eisy became unresponsive to a reboot. I've seen this before from time to time. I was also not able to log into PG3. I tried to shutdown eisy with 6 presses of the power button, but it would not shutdown. I removed power and restarted it. It booted normally and I was then able to get into PG3. I have 6 node servers. The re-install step worked fine on the first 4 (Notification, ELK, Ambient Weather, and HueEmulator), but it stopped on the RainMachine node server with it in a Disconnected state. Also, the version shown for RainMachine was the upgraded PG3 version, 3.2.1. I had to do a manual re-install on it and the last node server, VenstarCT. After that, everything seems to be working fine. So, the upgrade was a little bumpy, but it's complete and working. -
@Dr. Q, Apologies on the link. I believe you got the same one. The corrected link is: https://www.amazon.com/AV-Access-Extender-Extension-Operating/dp/B0C5R4DVRF/ref=sr_1_4?crid=285K6WROJD9WO&keywords=av%2Baccess%2Busb%2Bextender%2Bover%2Bcat5e%2F6%2F6a%2F7%2B196ft%2F60m&qid=1691285946&sprefix=%2Caps%2C215&sr=8-4&th=1 The reason I like this particular one is because the power supply plugs into the transmitter and then supplies power over the ethernet cable to the receiver with the antenna and PLM USB connections. Since that transmitter will be located in the equipment room with eisy, it will remain powered along with eisy. Again, looks like you got the same one. I verified this link and it takes me to the one I bought. Let me know how it goes.
