Purchased and Installed without trial. It's working fine. Cheers! TRI0N

Okay got some sensors that I was interested in with a Voice Hub. Everything is up and running very well and impressed with the range. Question for @Panda88... What is the best way to install your Node Server. I'm buying it but should I do the trial first or will it not freak out just buying it without the trial? I've heard others had problems with the transition between trial and license on other node servers (a Polyglot thing I assume). Will wait for your input first before installing or purchasing. TRI0N

Well that's didn't make sense... So the Green + Next to your Server means it's removed... While the Red Minus next to your eisy means it's not hidden. Now that's a little backwards... It's working now... Maybe an eye icon that is grey meaning hidden and a green eye means it's not. Just a thought. Adding work system back into the wild and now both systems are working. This indeed makes me happy. Thanks for clearing that up. TRI0N

No they both have the Green Plus. I removed the work eisy just to see if there is a conflict with having more than one eisy. No change... Still nothing in the home screen. TRI0N

Well that might be the problem. There is no Synchronize Button. However if I go into Settings -> Systems -> Select an eisy it will ask if I want to synchronize. I do so.. It takes a while, usually comes up saying there are invalid links (something like that) and asks if I want to remove them. I do.. Then I'm back to where I was with still nothing on the home screen. I just performed those steps again just now to see if there are changes. It did not find anything wrong this Sync, but again back at the home screen with nothing. I got the latest update with the notification system about a week ago when it was released. TRI0N

Define Configure. I have both my eisy's connected. Not a single device is on the screen. No add device or select devices you want. Just some "Configure Colors/Values/Icons" when you click one of the eisy's. So unless I need to do some sort magic trick. I stand firm on my comment. There literally nothing impressive about it. I check it each time there is an update that occurred and still the same disappointment. TRI0N

Well I hope they do something with UD Mobile. Right now (at least on my phone Galaxy S22), it doesn't do much of anything where I would even use it. I open it and you get a screen with nothing on it... "There are no items in this folder". Doesn't list a single device. Then I click the edit button at top, select one of the eisy's and I get "Configure Colors/Values/Icons. That's about it. I suppose I could reboot a eisy if I needed to. Otherwise it's practically worthless. TRI0N

Upgrades in HA show up when you click Settings. They will appear at the top if there is any. HACS is a 3rd Party Library. Home Assistant Community Store . It's not officially supported add-ons. Probably to avoid losing any partnership they have with vendors. I was thinking about installing HACS for a ASUS Router Tool but, after reading more, HACS has been up and down in recent weeks, so I did not install it. I have a few items that did appear in HA using the BLE Network for Govee Temp/Humidity sensors that broadcast on open BLE. All of them had a Unknown Sensor that was ignored but got Temp, Humidity, and Battery reading just fine. However the Dew Point and VPD are not present. Guess that will be added eventually. I put in a request to add those. As for the Z-Wave devices connected to eisy such as the Zooz ZSE44, that didn't even show up. But I can get that information from eisy directly for my needs. TRI0N

This is from the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) wiki. A bit outdated since these problems now are more occurring. "GROWTH PROBLEMS: Depending on the techniques used for area code and central office code relief, the effect on telephone users varies. In areas in which overlays were used, this generally avoids the need for converting telephone numbers, so existing directories, business records, letterheads, business cards, advertising, and "speed-dialing" settings can retain the same phone numbers, while the overlay is used for new number allocations. The primary effect on telephone users is the necessity of remembering and dialing 10- or 11-digit numbers when only 7-digit dialing was previously permissible." Furthermore here is Verizon themselves enforcing the 11 digit number in NYC that started in 2003. https://www.verizon.com/about/news/press-releases/dialing-11-digits-starts-saturday-new-yorkers PS: During my time working for the NRC at Diablo Canyon. They had our own Verizon Tower and everything was Verizon 3G/4G. I worked closely with Verizon Tech and that is where I learned that the 11 Digit Enforcement was being slowly put into effect. Pagers, phones, routers, etc. all had to use 11 Digit Dialing even if the person was standing right next to you. So I don't use numbers for automation unless they are 11 digits to make sure they reach their destination. There is no down side to using 11 digits. So I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. TRI0N
-
Their person to person tech support has been recommending 11 digits for about a year now. It's even documented online by others that have contacted them and were told to use 11 digits. We are running out of numbers per area code. Plus all the new National Hotlines and burner numbers that take 18 months to roll back to available. In some metropolitans you literally have to put in 11 digits just to call across the street. TRI0N

Just out of curiosity, you are saying that you are having trouble sending SMS Text? Can you elaborate on that? Most problems I've seen recently when sending to 10Digit@vtext.com. Most of these services now require 11Digit@vtext.com. Verizon is one of them. Also another alternatives would be to setup an email account with notifications turned on. TRI0N

Wasn't aware of the Kasa Node stability. It's been working wonderful for basic needs on the old 994 ISY PG2 when everything was just On/Off. But now in eisy and PG3 identify them quiet nicely. Especially my HS-300 power strips and energy bulbs. But good to know on the break.. However the Kasa WiFi Network doesn't rely on eisy. So even if it does go dark the switches will continue to work. TRI0N
-
From zero if you're just doing switches and outlets I would tell people to buy TP-Link Kasa. They work great and eisy uses and identifies them very nicely since PG3. Scene Controllers I would says the ZEN32 is a favorite and has it pros and cons vs Insteon. That is what I would recommend right now... TRI0N
-
Insteon was a great product. The devices were very well built and they didn't hide it either with their see through cases with gauge wire more then what was needed for switches. Now I've seen their new products in photos and I can clearly see they have gone to cheaper venues. The back are black plastic and the gauge wire isn't as thick (really don't mean much as long as it 10-12 AWG) but still it looks like they went cheaper on their products, probably to lower their prices to compete against WiFi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, etc... I have not seen their prices yet. We all know they were $10-$20 more per item back when they were thriving but now I can't vouch for their reliability or quality components. TRI0N

You can also use SUN Node Server for sun position to open and close accordingly to too much sun heating a room etc. You can also use NOAA (not very reliable on current forecast. Not the node server developers fault. NOAA just reports Unknown a lot) to detect if Mostly Cloudy etc to avoid closing them. TRI0N
-
Not sure how that will work. Isn't the ISY ZW 500 Series and the eisy is 700 series and uses S2? So either you're adding items into eisy that don't have S2 enabled when they could be. So not sure how that works going backwards. TRI0N

Right, the idea is to have eisy being able to use the Bluetooth to detect BLE devices. That's what I would like to see. TRI0N
-
Appears it doesn't need a node server. HA was able to detect the devices in the wild using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). They broadcast on open BLE Network without API. These are the Govee Temp/Humidity Sensors that I wanted here in eisy, but got no response from the node sever developer. TRI0N
-
If I was to install a Bluetooth dongle into one of the eisy USB ports would it be able to add devices that are open in the environment? I got no response from Govee Developer on adding Temp Sensors so I found a work around but only if eisy makes use the Bluetooth. TRI0N

So you want them to bundle a distro that could be installed on whatever you would plan. That would be a sizable increase to the development team to have them make distros for all the Unix based flavors and possible iOS or WIN. Don't think they have any plans to do that. TRI0N
-
Not sure where you are going with this. UD isn't going to give you their software for free. They are not going to develop a distro for release on 3rd Party Hardware. You'll have the same luck trying to get Apple to release their latest iPhone software to you. It's not happening. If you truly port things over, you shouldn't even need to ask for it. TRi0N

Well that was unexpected. been sitting like that for about 30 mins so far. The green animation has stopped as well. Any clues on that? TRI0N

Since you are now learning about "wait" and "send notification" such. You can make a program "repeat". I'm not sure how you run your Pool Fill event in terms of what makes it turn on. You can make it repeat and on/off sequence at whatever given interval. For example: If From 10:00 AM to 9:30 AM (not same day) and Your Pool Fill Device is On Then Repeat every 30 minutes (can just also use "wait") Your Pool Fill Device Off Else Your Pool Fill Device On Set that to Run at Startup so it start every time the system reboots. What that is saying is it will set your device to OFF every 30 minutes unless it's between 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM it will turn our fill device on. Just a little failsafe. Not fool proof, but a little more comfort with a piece of mind. You can also make one that will send an email if the device is on outside the 30 minute fill period, of course I'm just guessing how long you do your fill. TRI0N

HomeKit is made by Apple. There is no HomeKit Node Server for eisy and if you're talking about a plugin for HomeKit that can see eisy, then that again is something Apple can only answer or the developer of the HomeKit eisy module. TRI0N

Should be able to get to it. Then just click IoX Configuration -> Edit Current IoX and put in your password you have.. Restart PG3x and hope it all goes well.. TRI0N
