In addition to the Upgrade Button, it also makes sure that some libraries are not updated if they are not compatible with the current build of eisy. Just an example, lets say pyton released a new point release. UD might not have made any changes needed to ensure compatibility with a new point release of a library file. So they make sure that isn't updated till needed. TRI0N

Yeah if the command line sudo service udx restart doesn't do it, then steps taken beyond that will need UD Support. Your Polisy isn't even broadcasting its hostname. TRI0N

Try these. Lets see if the hostname for the polisy is broadcasting. https://polisy:8443 This should take you to the Polisy web homepage on the device. Then try: https://polisy:8443/admin.jnlp TRI0N

Have you tried going to this address http://YourPolyIP:8080/admin.jnlp Open and Run the icon it creates on the desktop. See if you can access the Poly that way. As for the SSH Password, that apparently didn't just happen to me either. The admin password for SSH turned out to be just admin too.. You can run "passwd" no quotes to change the admin password. PS if your port is different than 8080, use that in the address I gave you. TRI0N

Why not make it easy and just add checkbox for Auto Updates. Done deal... I guess it would depend on the user, its purpose, etc. But at this time I would never enable the feature. Reboot causes problems and even if that was no longer an issue, I'd still opt out. While I have one at home and it's purpose is pretty critical to not have it crash on a reboot. While the one at the office only controls lights and that would be feasible for some, it's still too critical for me not having things properly restoring upon reboot. TRI0N

Looks like that GoControl can be wired right into the Chamberlin just like you would any other normal button 2 wire hook up? Is there something I'm missing why this might not work with Chamberlin? The Genie 6170 is an acceptable solution too. TRI0N

Yep that is another option I'm looking at too. I have no problems doing I/O relay's etc or soldering circuit boards (grew up building Heath Kits). So even if the Garage door isn't smart that is fine with me. I really like the package in the RJO70 by Chamberlin but the main goal is a well mount motor. Using sensors and such is fine. I liked how the Chamberlin also included to automated internal locking system that comes with it, the backup battery was also a nice plus since I will be retiring the Ryobi one that had that option. I'm going to look Genie Wall Mount and see what I can do with it.. TRI0N

and that is where the real question come in. Is this API really hacked or reversed engineered and being sold as a service. I can understand a bug that could have a patch fix momentarily. But needing to re-hack a product is a whole different ballgame. Could take months if it ever gets re-hacked and at what extent? Not something you would want happening on entry points into your home not functional at any ungiven time. Simply is MyQ using a work around that uses what is available thru their API or is it truly being hacked, rewritten and distributed? Pretty much this isn't going to go for me... Anyone else have a working example of a Z-Wave Controlled Garage Door? Such as using something like the Zooz Multi-Relay with a good garage door product. I'm really was into getting a Chamberlin that mounts on the wall. I installed one for a friend and I like it a lot, it would clear the headway in our garage to be used for other things. Product I was interested in: https://www.amazon.com/Chamberlain-Smart-Garage-Door-Opener/dp/B07WRHPDC8?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER Possible idea on what: Zooz Multi-Relay with a LiftMaster Wall Mount? Any recommendations would be great. Note: I just realized that LiftMaster is owned by Chamberlin. Anyone any other option would be nice to know about. TRI0N

Hacking and Reversed Engineering are pretty well defined and completely different things. I don't attempt to change the meaning of words. Hacking means you compromised someone's engineered code either by modifying the code directly or indirectly, can be for good or bad. While reverse engineering is where you attempt to duplicate a product into your own product which in most cases would require hacking to achieve and honestly Reverse Engineering that compromises anyone's Patent Product is NOT Legal, especially if you are reselling it. Maybe the wrong terms are being used. Are we "Hacking" a API or are we just using a work around that doesn't actually hack their engineering? TRI0N
-
In my case it's something I need to avoid. It could literally have all my decades of certified courses and credential stippled from me if the company (MyQ) decided to go after those who knowing breached their product. For example, Sony has gone after people that hacked (rooted) their PlayStations. Simply, you may have bought a PlayStation but you do not have right to modify their engineering. Now I'm not saying MyQ is the same way but that is a risk I cannot take. TRI0N
-
So the API eventually will be usable in a none hacked version or we wait for another hack? If the later, then I will need to look at other options for garage door control. I can't (I'm sure others as well) use or put money towards something that 1) I'm knowingly paying for a hack. Which potentially puts me in breach of intellectual property laws. 2) It can be broken at any time. TRI0N
-
From my understanding the MyQ Node Server is using a "hacked" API and charging a subscription? Beyond ethics of hacking and charging. What happens with MyQ decides to fix their API to close the breach? What then? I'm looking to redo my garage door systems and the idea of paying for a hacked API that could be potential broken if MyQ updates their API. I don't want to be left with a broken system. TRI0N

Don't think we even saw the 5.5.8 in public either. Went from 5.5.7 to 5.5.9 with some minor releases. At least I never saw a 5.5.8... TRI0N

I was browsing the support portal and my account information and you look at My Products and thought, ah I should add my eisy there with my old ISY994i ZW/IR PRO and well, you can't. They don't even have the eisy in the product list. So do we even need to do that anymore for Tech Support to see what we have? TRI0N

The moon phase does not update constantly as the rest of the SUN Node Server driver info does. It's at 1.74 all day today. A couple days ago it missed the entire new moon 12 hour window So I set my polls from Short 30 - Long 60 to Short 15 - Long 30 just to see if that helped. I'm not sure how often that info updates but it would be nice to see it update more frequently as the moon travels around the earth. Thanks! TRI0N

Since you have entered it several times. Lets exclude it from the network just to make sure any parried association is removed. You do this by following the same procedure except you use the Remove a Z-Wave Device. Set that to listen then enter your user ID and pad code to as the Schlage says on how do to so... If the listen screen is still there waiting means it did not find anything matching that device. If it disappears after setting the lock to exclusion/inclusion then it found something and removed it. Now try adding your device. TRI0N

Nevermind, I forked the source and opened the code. It has a comment of Log Level and a static value of 30. So apparently it doesn't mean anything, maybe for the developer. Cheers! TRI0N
-
Anyone know what the Driver GVP is reporting but not included in the NOAA Documentation nor is it pulled into eisy. Right now mine has a value of 30. Which really doesn't match anything logical. I'm hoping it has something to do with air quality but 30 would be an extreme value. TRI0N

Also consider putting your devices in folders. Etc. I have "Motion Sensors" -> "Indoor" -> "Brand" -> "Room" Motion Sensors -> Indoor -> ZSE18 + Hallway or whatever works best for you. That should help you short out your devices and what rooms, model etc.... The problem with doing this in my case is that it makes is a bit of guesswork when adding a node to a program. Unfortunately trial and error is the only way to find the right node in long folder paths. It would be nice if UD either make the input a text box rather than a text field OR have a pop-up balloon on hover that displays the full path of the line you are on. TRI0N

Bump! Really would like to see this further developed. Missing a good Thermo-Hygrometer for use. Unlike most others, this one keeps track of Dew Point and Air Quality, Not just Temperature and Humidity. Air quality is something I'm looking for for indoor automations. available. TRI0N

Try a hard boot. Power off the eisy, unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in. My notifications stopped once I did that after 5.5.9 update. Also make sure you clear your Java Cache too before going back into UDAC. It's located in System Setting or just press Windows Key + S then type Java for "Configure Java". TRI0N

Not sure how that is the solution when people in British Columbia and other places have the same problem. They obviously don't live in New Mexico. TRI0N

In a technical perspective DST is a complete pain the rear end when collecting data. When either your date and time stamps conflict. Spring Forward isn't a problem. It's fall back that is a pain in the rear end to deal with. TRI0N
