  1. All, I have a simple problem. I have a 2420 motion sensor and a SWL. I know I can put them into a scene and they work great. However, I do not want that scene to work until it is a certain time period. I know I can write a program and constraint it with From/To time. However, the scene would still run during other times since it is in a scene and the 2420 motion sensor does not have any time settings built in. How can I can prevent the scene to run outside the time period? I must have missed something since it is a simple situation. Thanks. bktong
  2. TS99, Are you saying this is the only different and Jammer369 should go with T1700 unit? I have the same question as Jammer369. Others always suggest for ISY to manage everything. Is this the case for a thermostat? bktong
  3. Michel, BTW, it is a easy work around. I just need to assign a recipient to each entry. But thought it would be nice to have it fixed. It shouldn't stop users from backing up the whole system just because a file is empty (no recipient assigned). I didn't remove "migrated" at first thinking it was used for something else. Thanks. bktong
  4. Michel, I have tried your steps but still the file that always get stuck during a backup is /CONF/MAIL/1.NOT. I get the error when 1.NOT file is empty when I do not have a recipients assigned to the "migrated" Name. When I add a second Name and Recipient to the list which create another file called 2.NOT. Then I get the error during backup process. However, if I go back to the "migrated" Name and assign a recipient e-mail address which makes 1.NOT not empty anymore. Then I can do backup without an error. Conclusion: It seems like when 1.NOT (n.NOT) is empty or any empty file followed by another file, it gets stuck on the n.NOT file during a backup and it does not know how to go further to the next (n+1.NOT) file then it would error out. It does not matter if the n+1.NOT file is empty or not. As long as n.NOT file is empty and there is a n+1.NOT file, it errors. If n.NOT is empty and no n+1.NOT file exists, no error. A bug? bktong
  5. It happened in 2.7.13. So, I upgraded to 2.7.15 but with the same result. Basically, I can't add an e-mail address to the notification tab. If I don't hit the Save button on the bottom, I can still do a successful backup. But once I hit Save and do a backup, it gives me the error in two separate pop-up windows. bktong
  6. Found some instructions to suppose to fix this problem by telnet to the device and issue FN command. Did that but still can't backup!!! bktong
  7. Tried a few more times and found out that once I added an EMail/Notification name to the list, the Backup ISY does not know how to backup the /Config/Mail information and does not create the backup zip file correctly. Even remove the added EMail name would not fix the problem. I had to restore from a backup file. bktong
  8. Has any experienced problems with the Backup ISY? It has been working all along but stop working yesterday. I get two messages at the end at about 95%: "Could Not Retrieve File /CONFIG/MAIL/1.NOT" "Could Not Create the Zip File" Everything else is working normal. The backup zip file gets created but only has 1 KB and it's empty. A zip utility can't read the file or it indicates the file format is not a supported format. bktong
  9. Gary and Rand, So, the answer to my question is get the 2491T1 (daily) and use ISY to program it as many days as I need as long as I don't need the humidistat function. Great thanks both. Billy
  10. I'm thinking of buying the SH thermostats either 2491T1 or 2491T7 with the Insteon add-on and use it with my ISY. Do I really need 2491T7 with 7-day programming feature or I can get the 2491T1 and use my ISY to program it as a 7-day function? bktong
  11. Tim, I did see the wiki instruction when I got my ISY. So, I have been adjusting my V2 setting as if I had a V1. No wonder why it is not working as expected. Thanks for your help. I will do more tests when I get home tonight. bktong
  12. Tim, What version do you have for your garage's MS? In summary, V2 - setting of near 0 means the darker the room before ms triggers. V1 is the opposite. Why would they (SH) do that? Just to confuse people. bktong
  13. Tim, I am using ISY to do the adjustment. I think I have jumper 5 on both pins. So, if I have jumper on both pins, setting between 5-20 should do what I want...being dark before MS triggers the switch? So, I have it reversed (0=light and 255=dark). bktong
  14. I have both versions (v1 & v2) but I am trying it on v2 device with two knobs inside. bktong
  15. I have played around with the Set Option for the motion sensor. There is one setting in the Set Option. The light/dark sensitivity that can be set to 0-255. I have gone from 0 to 250 incremented by 50 but the motion sensor still triggers my SWL to On no matter light is coming into the room. I have my jumper 3 on both pins and the rest on a single pin. I assume 0 setting means turn on if it's bright and 255 means turn on when it's very dark??? bktong

    New KPL's

I have both versions. The only other benefit besides dimmable buttons, you have turn on and off sound when you press a button. I like the sound to confirm I did press button instead thinking if it was a communication problem when I didn't press hard enough.
