  1. But I would be quite content with getting the temperature (and humidity) data to the ISY via some temperature measuring device that does not control the heat or AC and is powered by a plug and not 24VAC....and then I could keep my Honeywell.
  2. I was thinking of buying one. However, I really do like my Honeywell with outdoor humidity sensor. I'm relatively new to the UD world and I have not figured out all of the Node server settings yet. But I thought Polyglot was down until further notice?
  3. The wiki is a start. Oddly, they talk about a 6 button keypadlinc but then go on to talk about buttons C, E and G which do not exist on a 6-button keypadlinc. Unfortunately, that wiki doesn't talk about the light but I'll check your video though. Thanks.
  4. These have been sitting in their boxes for a few months. Is it preferred to use a six button or 8 button panel with these fan controllers? I'm thinking the six button panel: Fan Off/On, Fan Low, Fan Med, Fan High. Plus dim-able light. BUT...It doesn't look like the load wire on the 6 button panel can be used for the light since the light is powered by the blue fanlinc wire. And does that then make the Top On and Bottom Off buttons useless? Or is the blue wire on the Fanlinc capped off and the load wire from the keylinc panel connected directly to the fan's light load wire? Depending on the previous answer...can the four scene buttons be used for 1) Fan On/Off, 2) Fan low, 3) Fan med, 4) Fan high If this is the way to do it what happens when you have the fan running at high speed (button #4 is back-lit) and you hit that button #4 again what happens to the fan speed? I would hope nothing and would want to keep the button backlit. Not sure how that is done though. In other words I would want Scene A to be On/Off with corresponding back-light, scene b, c, d only go off if scene A is turned off or any other speed scene button is pushed. Does the ISY 994i console make this easy? I assume it does (that is, I don't have to run back and forth pushing the buttons on the fan controller for the different fan modes)? Thank you for your help!
  5. Interesting - can you tell me which rev versions have the better feature?
  6. I don't see any special heading to link one - maybe it's the standard linking process? I'm wondering what could be available via the programs getting events from the thermostat to trigger other devices.
  7. Yes. Sure enough there it is: I guess the purchase stays with the device and not the account. Looking at the other modules...The Network Module which is $49 but is now "Now included with ISY Portal Module" Seems odd given that one is $49 and the other is like $12 or so. This one also seems odd: MobiLinc Connect Module Remotely connect through MobiLinc portal. No port forwarding necessary. Note:ISY Portal and MobiLinc Connect are not compatible. Only one can be activate at a time. I think UD Mobile is great but it seems odd that you can have UD Mobile and ISY Portal just not MobiLinc and ISY Portal. And the last one: Smart Meter Activation Module for $1 - it's not clear to me what you need or where you need to be geographically to use this feature and if this is the same as "AutoDR"
  8. Hmmm, so I have: So I wonder if that is the $9 module? I never paid for it but I'm not sure if that purchase stays with the user account or with the device. (I.e. maybe the previous owner bought that option).
  9. I was selecting the Link Management --> Add X10 Device to EZX10RF: But now I see there is an option at the bottom of the "Link Management" to specify the X10 address (and nothing to do with EZXRF10).
  10. Ah, I see, it translates to Insteon from X10. I guess that's another device that is very hard to come by these days.
  11. I thought with the Insteon/Smarthome PLM X10 devices could be added reasonably easy (that was just a guess.) I see if I try to add an X10 device though the UD console it gives a warning message about the EZX10RF will be reset. Are these EZX10RF devices available on the used market? On the UD Portal - it says: Support for A10/X10 devices incorporated into the tree and managed through the Admin Console' Main tab rather than the Programs tab. $9.00 I don't see anything listed on the Programs tab about X10 - unless that's because I do not have any X10 devices yet.
  12. Damn. I see that Insteon at one point made at least the 6 button version in a switch (non-dualband) model ending with S but I have never seen an 8 button unless it's just the kit needed to change from 6 to 8.
  13. I would like to install one of these but my lights are all florescent - no dimming. Could one of these just be set to 0.1s ramp-rate or am I risking something going wrong with the ballasts?
  14. Well, things seem to be working just fine. I followed all of your tests. I was able to sync now on local network. I added my wifi network back as an associated network. Thanks for your help.
  15. Definitely not an invalid IP address. It’s good in UD Mobile, username, password correct. Search icon finds it I think the answer is that I had a wifi network (my only wifi network in the house) associated with it. So it seems like there was a double wifi network hop. My iPhone is on the house wifi but within the UD Mobile app I associated the house wifi with it. Something like: iphone —> wifi network —> wifi network —> ISY but this always worked: iphone —> cell LTE —> ISY so I think now it’s working as: iphone —> wifi network —> ISY (removed wifi network from within UD Mobile.) TEST SYSTEM ON LOCAL NETWORK works but do I want to check that setting? If I check “Only Use Local Connection” then the “Remote Connection Setting” block turns red (and doesn’t work.) My theory is, why associate a wifi network when the iPhone already is on the wifi network and the ISY is wired on the network? Thanks.
  16. Actually, I killed off the wifi network associated within UD Mobile and I think that resolved it. The ISY is running on a static local IP on the house network. i have use ISY portal enabled. Local connection settings are correct and the “Only Use Local Connection” is not checked.
  17. This always happens on wifi. Cell data I do not experience this. The firmware error is incorrect. I have 5.3.4 (which it says on UD Mobile screen.)
  18. Actually, I do have them, but in a slightly larger size. I think they will clear the space in which they sit when the board is screwed in. I'm going to give it a shot.
  19. That wasn't my post - that was user Matapan. But I'm reading your notes to him. His would not power up. Mine will power up and stays up - at least the LED is on. But pushing any button or trying to do a factory reset do not work. Unfortunately I do not have either of these two electrolytic caps in had to replace. But I think I will give those a try and just see what happens.
  20. Has the same black mark on back of board as I've seen in another thread. I think that was an overheated zener diode if I recall. Note sure what the the cylinder is between the two electrolytic caps is. No markings on it. I believe the other unmarked cylinder is the piezo buzzer. Changing electrolytic caps seems to be the common trend.
  21. Push any button and it's "click-click-click..." and factory reset is even worse. The unit does blink on Insteon traffic from other devices. Any clues on how it might be repaired? Thank you
  22. I wonder which device was used for actually linking it - given that you were away from devices.
