  1. That's awesome - thank you again MrBill. But about these java updates that spoke of...I thought the ISY994i could only run under java 8? I would love to be able to run it on the latest java version - which would prevent me from having to setup aliases to set the appropriate java_home env for when I have to do something else that requires the latest version of java. If you (or anyone) has things running on a version other than Java 8 - please tell me who you did it - that would be an amazing improvement.
  2. Thank you!!! Another missing step is to re-download the "ISY Launcher" java app - clearing the java cache deletes that (and leaves your shortcut pointing at nothing.) I'm still not really sure if I should be using the "ISY Launcher" (shortcut with UD shield) or "ISY994 Administrative Console" (House with Globe in background) or the "admin.jnlp" (just a coffee cup) ? From my experience so far, the "ISY Launcher" gives me 3 choices: Admin Console (LAN), Admin Console (Cloud) and Dashboard and the "ISY994 Administrative Console" does not give you any choice and just launches the console. I always go to Admin Console (Cloud) via ISY Launcher Another launcher I found in my travels is "dashboard.jnlp" - starts the java vm but then dies with no error. Thank you again!
  3. Putting the original card back does solve all problems...although I would like to proceed with installing and using the new card. I was replacing the card with a new one based on recommendation from the seller.
  4. 1. Shutdown ISY 994i 2. Put new 16gb card in 3. Start up ISY 9994i 4. Telnet to it and run the FS command (never get the goodbye message as others have experienced) 5. Reboot ISY 6. Restored ISY from latest backup 7. Launch the console and I get the dreaded LIB_ERRORS-403 box 8. All else seems okay - except that my device is no longer reporting being online at my.isy.io (I did purchase the portal subscription) I did try to delete the ISY on the portal and add it back (same UUID) - but I never get the message back on the console to accept the portal
  5. I saw an older thread about this topic but it sounded like the suggestion did not work. I did try that that same suggestion and I also did not have the problem solved. Situation: Two 2477D's been in existence for years under control of the Insteon hub and working as desired with both dimmers having ramp rates of 0.5s Steps: 1. Factory reset of both devices 2. Link and replace both dimmers 3. Create ONE new scene and add both switches as controllers 4. Ramp rate always goes back to 0.1s I can reset the ramp rate then click the "Ramp Rate" button (I think that updates things) - I can do this for the switches and the scene - always stays at 0.1 My only solution was to create two separate scenes with one scene having one dimmer as the controller and the second scene with the other switch as the controller (the opposite dimmer as the receiver in each case). I do have MANY scenes exactly similar to this with two 2477D's - both set as controllers and things work fine. These dimmers are Revision v.45 (all of my dimmers in the house are v.45) Can someone tell me what is the "Backlight" setting for on these dimmers? Is it how strong the LEDs light up? Because I have them set at 0% now (which comes up as default) but if I put them at 50% the LEDs do not light up in a smooth pace.
  6. MY ISY 994i is online, I purchased portal access, I linked my accounts. But every time I got to https://polyglot.isy.io/dashboard I just get the spinning wheel. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I'm still digging on how to resolve but thought I would bump it to the top and introduce myself as a new member. Thank you. -Ray
