No, it is not. firmware is 5.0.15 and UI is 4.6.2 What is up?

I was having an issue with my 8 keypad switch and had to replace it. I was needing to make a scene for one of the buttons and have spent hours and can't get it to work. The issue that I am having is that every time I create a new scene, I name it but it comes up as null. Why would that be? No matter what I do, I can't create a new scene that works.

Okay, something is up with my isy. I had a scene that I was not using anymore, but I know it was working so I just deleted all that was in it, renamed it, added the two buttons I needed added, made the adjustments I wanted, and it now works. Easy as that. Just like I thought I knew how to do. It made me feel good that I didn't forget how to do this. But it frustrates me that I spent all of this time and there seems to be something wrong with the isy or the firmware. No matter what I do to add any scene it does not work if it is a NEW scene. When I add a new scene, I name it, but it comes up with the word, null. This is above me for sure, and I'm wondering if I should contact support on this???? I don't know how many new scenes I will ever create but it should work like it used to.

Okay, this may be something. When I go to create a scene, I name it, but when it comes up it does not show the name, it says null. What am I doing wrong???

Okay, I guess I should have asked first before doing it. It works but I guess it sounds like it will cause another problem if I don't get rid of it. How can I shut off that button grouping that I did? I understand that a scene correctly built will accomplish what I want but I have built many scenes and they all work except the one. I used to work until I had to replace the keypad switch.

I got it to work. I decided to go into the buttons grouping and checked the box under the one keypad button for the one button that would be grouped with it. I just took a shot and now it works like it should. What does the buttons grouping do? I have never used that before but it worked for me this time.

Okay, I had my wife turn on the light and I watched the admin panel. It turned on and it turned off but the light didn't come on. So, where does that leave us?
-
Okay, I got it. I did switch some things around though. I have now since decided to make the main switch the 100% and the other one the dim one at 70%. So, I'll just do the same thing you suggested just the opposite buttons. I actually have done this multiple times today. I have tried controller and responder, both controllers, etc. but nothing seems to work. The light comes on for the button but no one is home.

I have tried every button on this device and all work except the top right one. I have switched scenes around with the other buttons and made adjustments to the others and all work. Could it just be the device? I just thought it was me not remembering what to do but I was correct in what I had been doing. I just don't know what to do from here I guess.

So, another question. Do I make the main button on the keypad that is on the top left the controller or the responder? Do I make the one button on the top right that I want to run the same light but a different setting the controller or responder? Thanks.

Since I have removed the remotes, everything updates within seconds now as compared to 5 minutes or more. But, I still can't get the button to do what it did. It does not do anything. I can get it to work from the program but not from the switch. Suggestions? And also, thank you for giving your time to try to help.

I have 2 of the large remotes in some of those scenes but since the new update to the isy994i, I have never been able to write updates to these two devices no matter where I have them in the house. Could that be causing a problem? Should I remove them since I don't use those remotes much if at all anymore since Alexa.

When I turn it on via the admin console it turns on.
-
Also, I have that scene already created. Could it have become corrupt or something? Should I just make a new one?

When I toggle B on, I guess it doesn't matter what happens to A. When I toggle A on, I don't want anything to happen to B. I want them to operate independently from each other.

Okay, I did the reset to no avail. Would anyone care to give me an example of how they would set up a scene for this scenario. The top two buttons control the same light. The left one is the main control of the whole keypad as you all know. I have this button set at 70% and call it dim. The button to the right, which controls that same light, I want to be at 100% and I call this full. How would I set the proper scene to make this work? I think I know how but would really like one of the resident experts advice. Thanks.

I found it. Thanks.

Is that a link? I can't click on it or even copy it.

I have not made a scene for years. Where can I go to refresh my memory because I have a scene made and it must be broken? Should I remake it? Thanks for your help.

When I press the top right button of the 8 buttons on the keypad, there is no response. The light comes on in the button but there is no response to the light that it had been turning on for years. All the other 7 buttons do what they are supposed to do. I don't know how else to explain it.

I had to replace an 8 button insteon keypad. It has been many years since I have had to program it or any of my insteon stuff with my isy994i. Well, because of that time my memory fails me on how to do something to get a button to work right. All the buttons but one made the switch fine. The one button just doesn't do what it used to do. I have the top left button which is the main button for our main light in the bedroom. I have it set at 70% on and it works just great. The button to the right of that one is a button that I had it set to full 100% on but it doesn't want to turn on. I'm sure there is a setting that I need to set properly but I'm not sure what to do. The other 6 buttons do what they are supposed to do but this one just won't work. Can anyone show me the proper way? Thanks.

I got it. Thanks for your help.

That worked. Now, how do I get it to launch directly like I had it before? I'll keep looking. I like it in my taskbar to just click on and go.

Is there something special I need to do? Or is it just manually? It has been so long since I have updated, I've forgotten.
