I had to uninstall and reinstall Java. It now works kind of. The firmware and console now match. When I do step 7 of the instructions, I can get to the isy. When I do step 8 to launch directly from the isy, it works once, and then won't launch from that anymore. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

I upgraded, but I can't get my admin console to match my firmware. I have tried following the directions, but when I clear the Java cache, I get an error unable to uninstall applications.

So, MrBill, are you saying that there will not be any manual interaction after the update???

Okay, you say the transfer over is a much tougher transfer? What do you mean by that? Because you also say 5.3.4 should drop in transparently from 5.2. Can you please clarify? Is it a tough update or an easy one? Thanks.

I have not updated for a long time. I have 5.2 installed right now, but am thinking about upgrading. I see so many things that say a lot of manual intervention is needed on some of these. Is there one that will require less manual intervention? It's not like I have days to spend reworking my system. Thanks.

Okay, so one thing I did notice in the video from the link above, is that he has the ip address of the ISY instead of the main computer. I was told many years ago to port forward using my ip address of my main computer. But it looks like that has been wrong?? I should be using the ip address of the ISY?????

I do have an isy portal license but use if for Alexa.

I just got a new router. The port forwarding is so much different but it is supposed to be easier than my AT&T router was. Well, anyway, I am trying to port forward but I have some questions first before I go too far. In my ISY994, should I keep automatic and UPnP boxes checked? The only thing I have filled in are the ip address 192...... and the http 80 and https 443 ports. Also, chunked decoding is set to default. I have port forwarded in my new Asus RT-AC86U with Merlin 384.19 firmware installed. I used a utility called Port Forward I have had for years. It has the service name as PF1, external port as 443, no internal port, the internal ip address it listed is that of my computer and not of my ISY994, protocol is both, it has no source ip listed. I know everyone has different routers, but I was hoping someone would have some insight on this. Thanks.

I have it set up in my bedroom that on the KPL switch I have in there, I can turn off lights in the Dining room if they had been left on. The KPL button in the bedroom lights up when any lights in the dining room are on and when I push the button it will turn off all the lights that are on. The only issue I have is that for some reason, the KPL button in the dining room that is controlling one of the lights that is being shut off, that button light stays on. The light itself on the device shuts off, but the button light does not go off. I have no problem with any of the other buttons or switches, just this one. I'm sure I'm missing something but what could it be? Something in my programming? Thanks.

Well, I got it to work. I just went in and exported the programs. I imported them, deleted the old programs, did a restore to all, and now the programs are working.. Woo hoo. ?

The only thing that doesn't work with this program is that the light on the led button does not turn off. It turns of the lights like it is supposed to. The other thing I notice with several of the other programs that involve the same shut off is the lights on the led button don't turn on to let me know that lights are on. I'll keep trying but I am at a loss.

Well, in this program, the only thing this button is supposed to do is to turn off every light that is on in that room. Would that be toggle? Thanks.

What mode should it be in? toggle or non-toggle mode?

One of my programs is called basement light check off and another is called basement light check on. I have it set on a KPL to light up if lights are on downstairs and I can hit the button to shut them off. Now, the light is on in the keypad and it won't shut off the lights downstairs and the keypad light will not go off. I am attaching a copy of the program to see what I'm doing wrong. It is the same one that has worked for years. It just quit working and won't start up again. You don't know how much I appreciate everyone's help. Thanks so much.

I programmed my isy994 many years ago and have not had to touch it since for programs until my PLM went bad and now I have issues. First can anyone tell me the scenario of the colors of the programs and why they are not the same? Why are some green on the left side and white, some are yellow, some are all green, and one is white with a green arrow. I think we need to start there first. In the summary, some are yellow and say not loaded, out of memory and some say not saved. Thanks.

A power supply for the isy? The new PLM won't supply power, right? Where do I get the power supply? Where can I find the specs for the power supply because I have many that fit it. I just need to see the specs.

My isy keeps saying it can't find my devices. For a while it didn't find most of them. It was missing all but 4 of the 40 or more devices I have. I did a reset of the isy first. Now more are back but it still says it can't find 11 of them. I've been trying to query, write updates and restore device to see and some have come back. I have it down to 7 now. I have had no issues until I went to put in the new switch today and then all hell broke loose and it started going crazy.
