There has been no unplanned downtime for quite a while. Please open a ticket with your UUID(s), and the date/time of a failed request, and I will investigate the logs. Thanks, Benoit

Could it be that the set points are already to the calculated values? You could try asking for a different value, and see if they change. Or, it may be that Alexa misunderstands you and thinks you want to get the status. Please check in the web Alexa app, under settings | history, and see what she understands. The V3 skill does not operate the same way as V2 when in auto mode. In V2, when asking for a specific temp, the skill would determine which setpoint to change, and change it to the requested temp. In V3, when asking for a specific temp, the skill sets both the heat and cool setpoints. When in F, heat will be -2 and cool +3 from the requested temp. This is as per Amazon's certification requirements. Benoit

Hi Brent, This is definitely not normal. Would you mind to try: Open Chrome Press F12, then the Console tab to open the browser console. Go to my.isy.io, click on Select Tool | Information | ISY Portal Access Licence Click Renew Look at the browser console. If the window does not open, there is most likely an error message there. Please PM me the message. Thanks, Benoit

When entering a State Variable value, you can specify an absolute value, or a delta by entering + or - before the number. This can be especially useful for the Volume Up/Volume Down.
-
Please follow this tip from the Help: Under Volume, you can use Set Volume To, Volume Up/Volume Down, or both. If you use both, use the same State Variable. Benoit

Thanks for reporting this problem. It's now fixed. Benoit

Please click on Select Tools | Information | ISY Portal Access License. You should have a button that allows you to renew. There's also a shortcut: If you see an expiration icon beside your UUID, just click on it. Benoit

Hello everyone, We will have a maintenance this Friday 06-01-2018 at 5:00 AM PDT which will last up to 2 hour. During this period, the proxy servers will be restarted, which will temporarily disconnect your ISY for 1-2 minutes, once or twice. The main change is the introduction of access licenses. The initial purchase of the ISY module allowed an access for 2 years. This change will give the ability to renew the access to ISY Portal. Those who have a license which is already expired will continue to work up to June 30th, at which point access will be interrupted. Benoit

More informations are required to troubleshoot; What is "Family room lights"? Is it an Alexa group, Alexa Scene or an Alexa device? If scene or device, what is it on the ISY? Is it a a device, a program, a scene? Can you go to alexa.amazon.com, look under Settings|History. What did she understand? Did she indeed understand a turn on request, or something else? Still on alexa.amazon.com, please locate your device|scene|group "Family room lights" under Smart Home, device|scene|group. Is it marked as offline? Is there more than one. Please make sure to thoroughly search the device name as found under Settings|History. Benoit

Added my sprinklers and Alexa can't discover them
bmercier replied to billisy132's topic in Amazon Echo
Hi billisy32, Il order to use the ISY smart home skill, you need to: Have an ISY Portal account. Purchase the portal module In the admin console, go to Help/Manage module to install the module. Your ISY should then connect. Once connected, you also need to approve the connection in the admin console, under the portal tab. At this point, you can use your ISY through ISY Portal. You need to define your Alexa devices under Select Tools/Connectivity/Alexa You can then enable the skill and discover the devices. Benoit -
This is now fixed. Programs exposed as scenes now can be added to routines. Benoit

No. GH does not support that. Benoit

The short answer is yes. The unlock feature is coming. Benoit

You can retrieve status for locks and thermostats, but not for regular devices. Amazon unfortunately has not implemented that. There's an API to report the state of a device, but Amazon does not make use of it for voice requests. It's used only for the mobile device app. Maybe this will be available eventually. All that Amazon would need to do is implement the vernacular, and use the ReportState API.

Alexa, Irrigation Control, Timers (and my wife)
bmercier replied to No Pressure's topic in Amazon Echo
It has nothing to do with your existing lights. All that it does is create a new Alexa device. When you will ask to turn on/off this device, or set it to x%, it will set the variable, that’s it. Then it’s up to you to create a program which will react to the variable, such as turn on the sprinkler, and every minutes decrement the variable until 0, and ultimately turn the sprinkler off. In the admin console, create your state variable. On ISY Portal, connectivity/Alexa, click Add variable. This will create an Alexa device which will set the variable based on the percentage. Benoit -
Alexa, Irrigation Control, Timers (and my wife)
bmercier replied to No Pressure's topic in Amazon Echo
Another alternative could be to simply use a state variable to hold the timer. "Alexa, turn on sprinkler station 16 to 20 percent" could set a state variable to 20, which you use in programs as a countdown to 0. Not as friendly, but at least, you would not have to create tons of programs and corresponding spokens. Benoit -
