  1. Whoo Hoo... just ordered the 994i for $99 using the upgrade deal. I was thinking about the "994i PRO" but looks like I'll have to use the $30 upgrade path to it. Sounds though like it's easy enough to get going... just use the 99i backup and should start right up.. right? Anyone have the experience yet or run into any issues? http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10771 Thanks, Jon
  2. Hi LeeG, Thanks for the info.. I didn't know about the 994i or the stop in development for the 99i even though I had the updated to 3.3.10. Think I'll go for the upgrade to 994i since I've appreciated the continued work that was done on the 99i. Jon
  3. What does the upgrade provide and how is it accomplished? I've had the ISY99i (1020) for about 4 years with no problems and am considering the weatherbug module for light control but may expand its use. Right now I have about 15 devices and 25 or so programs. Thanks, Jon
  4. Thanks... I guess then the program should run as I had hoped. The program is only to give light during those dark cloudy days... I have another program for night time events, it starts as this program ends and shuts them off. Thanks, Jon
  5. I'm trying to write a program that will turn off some lights after the Status 'MOTION SENSOR-Dusk/Dawn' is Off and a 25 min. wait period has elapsed (Cloudy Days B.) I want to re-check the status and turn the lights off only if "Status 'MOTION SENSOR-Dusk/Dawn' is Off" after the wait but I'm brain drained and don't see the way. As it stands now I believe it will turn the lights off regardless of current status. Cloudy Days A If From Sunrise + 15 minutes To Sunset - 1 hour and 15 minutes (same day) And ( Status 'MOTION SENSOR-Dusk/Dawn' is On ) Then Set 'Foyer Light' On Set 'Kitchen Sink Light' On Set 'Media Room Light' On Else Run Program 'Cloudy Days B' (If) Cloudy Days B If From Sunrise + 1 hour To Sunset - 1 hour and 15 minutes (same day) And ( Status 'MOTION SENSOR-Dusk/Dawn' is Off ) Then Wait 25 minutes Set 'Foyer Light' Off Set 'Media Room Light' Off Set Scene 'Kitchen Sink Light' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Thanks, Jon
  6. I see.. I wasn't giving the program time to run. Thanks, Jon
  7. Still dimming this morning... I tried "Run Else" and now at 100% but if I "Run Then" it reverts to dim. 8. Had a break and got it working. Initially I think the problem was I hadn't "Run Then" before testing so the link wasn't written to the dimmer. I eventually tried "restore device" but I doubt that did the same. I'll see in the morning if it turns on now 100%, as it should, or if it still dims Thanks for the great help. Jon
  9. I'll try tomorrow with the dimmer as a controller and see if it changes anything. Thanks, Jon
  10. I'm getting this error message when opening up the Event Viewer. Fri 05/20/2011 12:26:36 AM : [FileOpen ] Open failed for [/CONF/INTEGER.VAR] ® Any ideas? Thanks, Jon
  11. Hi Lee, Yes it shows v.40 in the console and "engine version i1" ... here's the log.. 12. it's new v.40.. I'm having some strange events in the console as graphics for ON/OFF and notifications not showing after I "restored the device." I did that because I understand from http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?p=10667#10667 If I get this.. the ISY should write to the dimmer the new instruction but this isn't happening. I'm unsure right now what's going on with my ISY but it's not 100%
  13. Still not getting it to work. I had both switches in the same scene but making the dimmer a controller caused the fan to run I also tried the power cycle but nothing. I know others have this working but it's just escaping me. Thanks, Jon
  14. I've just installed Switchlinc 2477D and 2476S. The dimmer is to control bathroom vanity lights and the switch is to control the ceiling fan. I want to dim the lights during evening hours locally (that is when pressing the paddle.) I'm running v.3.1.2 and my program looks like this... If From 2:25:00PM To 10:25:00PM (same day) Then In Scene 'Master Bathroom' Set 'Master Bathroom Vanity Lights' 20% (On Level) In Scene 'Master Bathroom' Set 'Master Bathroom Vanity Lights' 2.0 Sec (Ramp Rate) Else In Scene 'Master Bathroom' Set 'Master Bathroom Vanity Lights' 100% (On Level) In Scene 'Master Bathroom' Set 'Master Bathroom Vanity Lights' 0.3 Sec (Ramp Rate) -disregard the time range- I've read where it's necessary to select the "switch" from the drop down menu from the options for "Adjust Scene/In Scene" but my devices aren't listed. I've also read where you can "power cycle" the device (older models) and this might help but I'm uncertain about how to "power cycle" other than to turn off the breaker. anywhoo... Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Jon
  15. Even workin' Sundays eh? Guess that's what makes you guys so good Jon
  16. How's the tutorial comin' along? Jon
  17. Under "Program Details" right click the program you want to copy and select "copy to clipboard."
  18. The Wiki instructions are backwards... towards 0 and the darker it needs to be for the unit to see night. I'm using the D/D feature solely to turn on lights during daylight low light conditions and have only jumper 2 (which may not be necessary) and jumper 5 on. All boxes are checked and "Timeout =.5," "LED Brightness=0" and "Darkness Sensitivity=165" Cloudy Days A If From Sunrise + 1 hour To Sunset - 45 minutes (same day) And-( | Status 'MOTION SENSOR-Dusk/Dawn' is On -) Then Set 'Foyer Light' On Set 'Kitchen Sink Light' On Set 'Media Room Light' On Else Run Program 'Cloudy Days B' (If) Cloudy Days B If From Sunrise + 1 hour To Sunset - 1 hour and 15 minutes (same day) And-( | Status 'MOTION SENSOR-Dusk/Dawn' is Off -) Then Wait 25 minutes Set 'Foyer Light' Off Set 'Media Room Light' Off Set Scene 'Kitchen Sink Light' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  19. Something clicked and I realized what you were saying about having to place "Wait" after the instruction following "Repeat." When calling another program "Wait" needs to equal the length of time required for that program to complete. This seems to work. TEST A If From 11:54:00AM To 11:56:00AM (same day) Then Repeat 4 times Run Program 'TEST B' (Then Path) Wait 13 seconds Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') TEST B If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set 'Media Room Light' On Wait 10 seconds Set 'Media Room Light' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  20. These are examples of my test. Originally I had "WAIT" at the end of program "B" and removed the line cause it didn't repeat. REPEAT doesn't work for this program. EDIT... Oops... it will work if you place "WAIT" after RUN Program 'Test B' (Then Path) as you originally mentioned. The final program ... Jon
  21. I tried several tests and "repeat" didn't work in the two program scheme. It does work when used in the same program. Thanks, Jon
  22. I see.. I don't understand though why there is "Wait 40 minutes" now in "A?" June 21 in Houston sunset is around 8:30pm and 5:30pm Dec. 21. I'm assuming it's "sunset" that starts the program so I think the following would work and not run past 10pm. Thanks, Jon
  23. So in my program, WAIT causes a re-evaluation of IF?
  24. I was thinking the logic was ladder like... if the IF statement is true it goes to THEN... once THEN is executing I didn't think it returned to the IF condition (or be affected by the fact it's FALSE.) The second program isn't disabled because nothing would happen if it were. Jon
  25. Simply, I don't want it to run past 10pm... I don't care when it starts, just not past ten. If it doesn't run that's fine... I don't think the fact it's evaluated as false is going to harm the ISY or burn down the house.
