    KPL button question

Thanks for the great info Lee. I created the scene and had already used my ISY to turned off my water heater that a 2477SA1 controls.
  2. I have an 8 button KPL at my front door at my lake house. I use button B as a way to tell my ISY if I am there or not. When I leave I usually turn on button B but when I left yesterday I forgot to. Is there a way from the admin console to turn it on? When I look at it from the main tab I see the current state of off but don't see a way to turn it on. Thanks
  3. Michel, Locally I can access using https but if I try it remotely with DDNS set up I now get these errors. I tried it from both a Mac and a PC just in case it was a Mac only problem but both give the same results. Any ideas?
  4. How should I access my ISY remotely now? When I try it the way I used to I get a XML parse error and a socket open failed. The way I used to do it was https://myDNSname:443 Thanks
  5. I have a 2477SA1 and have been waiting all day for this to show up so in my book it is not a minor release. Thanks Michel
  6. Thanks guys!! I hooked it up and the LED's were off. I then did a factory reset by pulling out the airgap and then pushing it in for 10 seconds. THat got the LED's working again. I tried doing that while installed but never could get the long tone to sound so I knew I really hadn't done it. Glad that took care of things and I don't have to send it back.
  7. I checked my connections and tried resetting it but no luck. I had another one so I replaced it and the LED's are all working fine now. I brought the other one to work with me. Can I take a power cable and connect it to the switch with the load wire capped off and see if the LED's work? I thought that I shoudl test it again before seeing if it is still in warranty.
  8. I can do that but it is powering the lights so I would think it has power.
  9. I went ahead and posted on Smarthome too.
  10. I just installed a dual band switchlinc and a switchlinc relay to control some lights and a exhaust fan in my bathroom. I turned off the breaker and did the install. When I turned the breaker back on these 2 worked fine but I noticed another switchlinc dimmer in the bathroom in a separate location no longer had the led indicators lighting. Any ideas what caused this or if I can fix it? It only wanted to go on and off if I double tapped it until I did a restore device in my ISY? Let me know if I should put this on the Smarthome forum. After I typed it I just realized I was on the ISY forum but I know there are lots of the same people on both of them.
  11. Brookpbhx, Did you find out anything from Smarthome on this? I'm having the same issue. Greg
  12. Michel So are you saying to not return it that you guys might have a work around with an update to the ISY firmware? Greg
  13. Michel's suggestion didn't help. I was at my lake house and had already left to come home before seeing your last suggestion Lee. I disconnected it and brought it with me so I guess I will contact Smarthome and see if they are doing anything to fix it. I am connecting it to my water heater so it doesn't run when I am away from the lake house. Using the NC version shouldn't be a problem for me. Thanks for the help and suggestions. If you hear anything else, let me know.
  14. is this only a 2477SA1 problem or is it happening on the 2477SA2 also? I could always switch to that one if Smarthome will do it.
  15. Thanks Lee Nope. Can't control it with the ISY. So do I return it or will UD be able to come up with a fix on the ISY?

  17. Yes I did use the start linking and I'm at v3.2.6
  18. Trying to link my 2477SA1 and I keep getting this.
  19. Did you see this? http://www.smarthome.com/24950A3/I-O-Linc-INSTEON-Rain-Sensor-Kit/p.aspx
  20. Thanks Lee. I thought the answer would be yes. Your's was above the call with actual programming.
  21. I have a light over my shower and tub and an exhaust fan. Is it possible to monitor the light and if it is turned off, while the fan is running, then the fan would continue to run and turn off after 10 minutes?
  22. I have a retractable roof over my yard. I close it at night to keep any nighttime rain off my grass and open it in the morning. And yes I use Insteon to do it. Seriously, I have heard that but in the summer I usually start mine around 5am. Now that school is in session and my dog goes out early, I've changed it to 8am to try and cut down on her being really wet when she comes back in. Also, since we don't know the size of your zones we can't really help with how long to run it. My yard is very small and I only run a zone for 10 minutes max. Yes it is that small.
  23. If you have DHCP turned on with the ISY, which it sounds like you do, then it could get a new IP address if you lose power and things restart. You can turn off DHCP on the ISY and hard code an IP address in, and all of the other particulars, or you should be able to use the ISY MAC address and hard code it into your router to assign an address outside your router DHCP range. You might want to change your range to 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.254 so you have 9 addresses you can hard code.

Looks like restore device fixed it. Thanks

    scene question

Not sure what I am seeing when I do that. I added a screenshot of the results. LampLinc can be controlled by the Admin Console. It would even come on and off when I had it directly in the program. Admin Console is at 3.2.6. Should I remove that LampLinc and re-link it?
