If all you need is insteon and do not want anything new, the 994 would still work.
I still have my 994i. I may try to resurrect it for fun. I wonder if the IoX backup from Polisy would load into it?
But, as long as my Polisy works I’m good. -
I concur. The UDI Insteon controllers are way better than using Home Assistant directly with a modem. I'm using a Polisy for Insteon but use the z-wave adapter directly with HA. I really wish UDI would resurrect the lowly ISY994i for those of us that don't need all the other bells and whistles. It was excellent at what it did.

It is possible that I am doing things wrong
Probably so. This is just a suggestion not based on actual experience but a long time Insteon, Z-Wave user. I think you need to add the main switch node of the z-wave switches as controllers of the scene, not those other "z-wave scene nodes". Just a thought.

Here’s another description. What z-wave switches are you using?
-
Here’s another discussion on it.

I haven’t tried this but it might be you need z-wave switches that are 3-way compatible.

@EJones01 Thanks for the link. I was unaware of EST. I'm crazy about ESPhome. I've fabricated many of my own sensors and 3D Printed enclosures. The Everything Presence One has some nice features and component selection. I'm definitely picking one up.

I can’t resolve your issue but to say I abandoned my Wireless Tag platform for Yolink.

Hopefully ESPHome will adopt it without too much delay.

think back to before the portal existed.
If only my memory were that good. Also, I could never be sure that UDI hadn't expanded the Portal Account's requirements elsewhere other than just remote, Alexa and Google. I believe Portal authentication is used on their website and for some things in conjunction with PG3.
-
I read in the Wiki about the UD Portal:
QuoteISY Portal allows you to connect to ISY remotely and without the need for port forwarding. Furthermore, ISY Portal enables Amazon Echo, Google Home and IFTTT integration.
I'm trying to simplify my home automation by eliminating platforms/products I don't really need. I've been on the UDI track since the early ISYs and currently have a Polisy just for the Insteon Interface with Home Assistant and I don't have any Node Servers.
So if I'm not using any of those technologies do I really need a Portal Account?

Assuming you're on an eisy, try: eisy.local:3000/dashboard
No I'm on Polisy.
I also noticed that it wouldn't do a reboot from the AC. Knowing that @Michel Kohanim said do not unplug, I tried a "sudo shutdown -r now" from a PuTTY connection and that fixed it. I can now login to PG3 and Insteon is working from IoX at version 5.8.0.

Upgraded IoX to 5.8.0 but now when I launch Polyglot V3 from AC and submit my Login I'm getting this response.
I've seen this in the past but can't remember what it means or how to fix it. Also, this url isn't working either,
https://192.168.1.180:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt
Any ideas?

is removing power from the Polisy, then deleting the Polisy temporary files which are located in the folder
Is powering down Polisy necessary? I would think just closing the Admin Console would suffice?

In response to your post I looked, and sure enough, my sunrise and sunset are both an hour early...
I had a similar problem long time ago for my location in Albuquerque. UDI had to change the rules.
The list of Locations shown when selecting the AC Change Location button is wrong for Albuquerque. It shows the Albuquerque Daylight Saving Rule is America/Phoenix, it should be America/Denver. Phoenix does not change to Daylight Saving. I wonder when that rule was changed. I've never had this problem before.

My POLISY upgrade to 3.2.8 completed without a hitch.
The OS was also upgraded to 13.2 from 13.1 and ISY to 5.7.0_1 from 5.7.0.
There could have been more changes but the layout of sysyconfig.txt also changed so it's a little difficult to compare the before and after. https://polisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt
I have all my ISY programs disabled anyway so I can't say if they were affected. Also, not using any Node Servers so I see no problems there.

In the ISY installing a new SD card was so easy.
Ah … The good old days.
UDI is missing the boat by not continuing to produce the ISY. It’s the only solution when using Insteon.

I’m impressed but how can you possibly have that many programs?

Before I run Upgrade Packages for this PG3x release I was wondering the status of the Polisy OS 13.02 upgrade. When I select the Upgrade button I get this warning.

One more stupid question....
How does one know whether or not the OS upgrade took place? Where can you see the actual Linux OS version?
Help > About only shows the firmware and UI.
Thanks

My Polisy 5.7.0 upgrade was successful and Insteon control is operational. I don't have any ISY Programs, PG3 Node Servers or Z-Wave devices.
Looks like OS wasn't upgraded.

Yes, it's gets uninstalled when you clear the Java Cache.
These are my notes.
Load a New JAVA Admin Console on Windows PC
⦁ Clear JAVA Cache from Control Panel JAVA applet
⦁ To load the ISY Launcher. https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
⦁ Install start.jnlp to C:\Utilities (or where ever you want.)
