Zooz ZEN05 8800LR Outdoor Plug
@Techman sure enough! Thank you. I assume I need to remove the device and re-add it to add the security.

Zooz ZEN05 8800LR Outdoor Plug
I just got a ZOOZ ZEN05 800LR Outdoor Plug to use with my EISY/Zwave setup. The device came with several QR codes to set it up but none for the EISY so I just went into the Admin console/Z-wave menu and added a new device. I pressed the button on the plug 3 times to put it into pairing mode and my EISY found it. It showed it supported S2 security but to add it with that enabled, I needed a PIN which I don't believe I have. I don't see anything in the box that says it's a PIN. So I turned off S2 and it added with no security (I assume). How could I add this device with the S2 turned on? How would I find the PIN? Any helpful suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Aqara FP300 Thread & Zigbee Motion Sensor
So the support on EISY for the Aqara FP300 motion sensor is minimal. Does adding an Aqara Hub help me at all? The M200 supports Matter. Does that help me integrate these devices more so I could use a program in EISY to respond to motion detected by the FP300?

Java 8 Update 471 fails
OK got it fixed and working. Had to go into Privacy & Security and tell MacOS to open start.jnlp regardless. Hope this helps someone else too.

Java 8 Update 471 fails
Well I have gotten further after doing some more searching. I found a thread that said to install rosetta through the Terminal app and then I would be able to install the JRE 471 update which in fact worked. But now I have the start.jnlp on my desktop and MacOS will NOT open it. Ideas on that?

Java 8 Update 471 fails
I'm trying to get Java runtime installed on my new MacBook Pro/M4 but the Java 8 Update 471 fails with OS Error Code 1. Without Java, I cannot get to my Admin Console. How can I fix? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Aqara FP300 Thread & Zigbee Motion Sensor
@xlurkr No I hadn't done that but have done so now. The FP300 updated its firmware and then got to a point where in the Aqara app it wanted to connect to a hub. I don't have one so I went to the EISY Admin Console and added the device again through the Zigbee/Add a Zigbee Device menu. It completed and I have these 3 devices shown in my Network. No idea why the first one shows disabled. 2nd and 3rd devices (Main and Weather) show the temperature and humidity in my office where the device is currently sitting. I see nothing that shows me how it show presence detection (motion detection?). I'm closer but not all the way there yet. Do I need an Aqara hub in my network? I wanted to use this as a motion sensor because of its compact size. Thoughts?

Aqara FP300 Thread & Zigbee Motion Sensor
I tried adding the FP300 to my EISY through the Zigbee/Add a Zigbee Device menu command. It found a device but said something about waiting for an interview process to complete. The window went away and now I have a device in my Admin console called ZB 46576.1 Main but it does not respond to motion. If I press the Query button, I get a Request Failed popup. I'm clearly out of my league here. I guess I need to read more on Thread/Matter/Zigbee. Any pointers would be apppreciated.

Aqara FP300 Thread & Zigbee Motion Sensor
Should I be use this new Aqara FP300 motion sensor that supports Thread & Zigbee with my EISY and ZMatter USB device? I have not done much with Zwave/Zigbee/Thread and I’m trying to bench out from INSTEON a bit. Thoughts?

Why DR Table A 3 times/
I just added 2 dimmer switches on a 3-way circuit which work fine. But why does DR Table A show up 3 times?

Test Hookup Device for INSTEON Switches
@MrBill is that something you made or bought? I assume the devices on the ends are simple connects for the wires on the INSTEON switches - correct?

Test Hookup Device for INSTEON Switches
Is there a way to create a test device that I can connect an INSTEON switch wiring to so that I can plug it in to simulate being installed and then be able to see it the admin console?

Mix 2476D with 2477D?
I just read the difference and decided not to mix and not to use the older 2476D’s either. Those just need to be retired. I will be looking for sales on 2477D’s or if someone has a good recommendation on Z-wave switches to replace standard 3-way switches, I’m all ears. Thanks!

Mix 2476D with 2477D?
I only have 1 2477D left but have several 2476D's. Can I mix these two or should I use two 2476D's?

INSTEON Address Label Worn Off
I pulled a 2477D INSTEON Dimmer switch from my box of unused devices to add it to my condo and the address label is unreadable. How do I add this to my EISY if I do not know the device's address?

EISY Didn't Come Back Online
Thanks for the info but if this is what I have to do to get my EISY back online, I may be getting out of the EISY automation world. My EISY (and ISY-994 before) worked flawlessly and was easy to administrate. This is getting way too complicated for the average non-techie person. Just FYI - Michel responded to my ticket and wanted me to connect an HDMI monitor (which I have) and a USB keyboard (which I don't have) to my EISY take a picture of the last things shown on the screen when I tried to boot it up. I responded I don't have a keyboard. I use a wireless bluetooth keyboard on my Mac. So now I'm waiting to hear what my next step might be.

EISY Didn't Come Back Online
@DennisC OK I just did.

EISY Didn't Come Back Online
@larryllix I did read it but it's beyond my capabilities. I have no idea how to replace the SSD and reflash it or whatever the term is. I am an average user. No clue how do what you suggest.

EISY Didn't Come Back Online
How would it bricked if I did EXACTLY what the instructions said to do???

EISY Didn't Come Back Online
Is a factory reset the next step? I have a backup I took right before I did the Upgrade Packages.
-
EISY Didn't Come Back Online
Well my perfectly working EISY is now apparently a brick. I did the first step in the upgrade process which was to Upgrade Packages and EISY is now dead. It has been 6 hours. I tried pulling the power plug and plugging back in. Nothing. The power button is blue but no console shows up in IoX Finder. What now???
-
EISY Didn't Come Back Online
So the power button on my eisy remains off. Should I try to turn the device back on?

EISY Didn't Come Back Online
I just started the upgrade process per the latest blog from UD. I connected to my EISY through the IoX Launcher, did a backup, then did Upgrade Packages. My EISY went offline and has been offline for more than an hour. UD Mobile reported ISY blah is now offline. The Home Screen in UD Mobile has a red triangle error symbol. The IoX Launcher cannot find my EISY. My ISY Portal page shows the device is offline. What happened and how do I get it back online?
