I just added 2 dimmer switches on a 3-way circuit which work fine. But why does DR Table A show up 3 times?

@MrBill is that something you made or bought? I assume the devices on the ends are simple connects for the wires on the INSTEON switches - correct?

Is there a way to create a test device that I can connect an INSTEON switch wiring to so that I can plug it in to simulate being installed and then be able to see it the admin console?

I just read the difference and decided not to mix and not to use the older 2476D’s either. Those just need to be retired. I will be looking for sales on 2477D’s or if someone has a good recommendation on Z-wave switches to replace standard 3-way switches, I’m all ears. Thanks!

I only have 1 2477D left but have several 2476D's. Can I mix these two or should I use two 2476D's?

I pulled a 2477D INSTEON Dimmer switch from my box of unused devices to add it to my condo and the address label is unreadable. How do I add this to my EISY if I do not know the device's address?

Thanks for the info but if this is what I have to do to get my EISY back online, I may be getting out of the EISY automation world. My EISY (and ISY-994 before) worked flawlessly and was easy to administrate. This is getting way too complicated for the average non-techie person. Just FYI - Michel responded to my ticket and wanted me to connect an HDMI monitor (which I have) and a USB keyboard (which I don't have) to my EISY take a picture of the last things shown on the screen when I tried to boot it up. I responded I don't have a keyboard. I use a wireless bluetooth keyboard on my Mac. So now I'm waiting to hear what my next step might be.

@larryllix I did read it but it's beyond my capabilities. I have no idea how to replace the SSD and reflash it or whatever the term is. I am an average user. No clue how do what you suggest.

How would it bricked if I did EXACTLY what the instructions said to do???

Is a factory reset the next step? I have a backup I took right before I did the Upgrade Packages.

Well my perfectly working EISY is now apparently a brick. I did the first step in the upgrade process which was to Upgrade Packages and EISY is now dead. It has been 6 hours. I tried pulling the power plug and plugging back in. Nothing. The power button is blue but no console shows up in IoX Finder. What now???

So the power button on my eisy remains off. Should I try to turn the device back on?

I just started the upgrade process per the latest blog from UD. I connected to my EISY through the IoX Launcher, did a backup, then did Upgrade Packages. My EISY went offline and has been offline for more than an hour. UD Mobile reported ISY blah is now offline. The Home Screen in UD Mobile has a red triangle error symbol. The IoX Launcher cannot find my EISY. My ISY Portal page shows the device is offline. What happened and how do I get it back online?

That’s what I thought I was doing here as UDI folks frequent these forums. I find no where to contact UD from their website. If someone can point me to a contact page, I’ll go there.

That article says the ISY994 is limited to 1 year but EISY will still have 1 or 2 year renewals.

It’s time to renew my ISY Portal license. I have purchased a 2 year renewal the last 6 years but I don’t see 2 years as an option this year. Is that right? Is there a 2 year renewal? Thanks.

I understand that the EISY is going to OS 14.1 soon. Mine is at 5.8.xx. Did I miss several updates? Can someone help clarify? Thanks!

@Geddy These aren't state variables. They are geofence devices (both of our iPhones). I set up this geofence so long ago I'm not sure how they got created. I tried uploading a screenshot of how they look in the Admin console but got errors both times. I've added a notification to the program so I'll know if it fires appropriately. And yes, I only want this working between 6a and midnight.

I have this very short program below that is intended to turn our indoor Christmas lights on as long as either my wife or I am home. I have a geofence defined that sets a variable in the geofence settings on UD Mobile for both us. It works. KBM Home is true if either Kent or Nancy is true meaning we're within the geofence. Here's the code: If From 6:00:00AM To 12:00:00AM (next day) And 'KBM Home' Occupied is True Then Set '02-LR-DR / Christmas Indoors' On Else Set '02-LR-DR / Christmas Indoors' Off Will this code be triggered if the state of the geofence variable 'KBM Home' changes from true to false or vice versa? @Ross Thanks, maybe I should install the 2nd hub on my lower level. It's just sitting in a box now. Probably couldn't hurt.

So I assume I have to delete the trial version first because that slot is already occupied?
