ISY problems
Update: Got the outdoor module to work. I had to replace a module with a same-type, different version one. I've successfully added it to the ISY but when I go to the old module listing and go to "replace", the new one is not there as an option.

ISY problems
I am having multiple ISY problems that are driving me insane. 1. I have a Insteon 2477D dimmer that works manually fine. It used to work in my ISY. Now the ISY shows an exclamation point and doesn't talk to it. I've put it in linking mode to see if that is a possible fix but it doen't "find it". Not sure what to do. 2. I replaced a 5 button dimmer module with a new one since the old one died. I've linked it in but the ISY would not replace it. When I look at it in the ISY Admin Console I see the main module (on/off) buttons (which work) but don't see the sub buttons except D. 3. I have a brand new on/off outdoor module which I was using to replace a dead minimodule. I cannot get the ISY to see it. It is a 2634-222. I've tried moving it around to different outlets. I've put noise filters on everything I could think is or would be noisy (don't have any other noise problems). When I put it into linking mode the ISY responds that it cannot see it. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks. Oh, ISY 994i PRO running v.4.0.0 both firmware and UI.

Multi-way circuits
Are there examples of this in the wiki?

Multi-way circuits
If I have virtual multiway circuits, how do I keep the KPL lights synced so that any 'on' activation puts the light on for all KPLs involved and when any 'off' activations occur, that all the KPLs indicate the off status? I can't figure out what to search under on the site.

Remotelinc programming
I put my Remotelinc into programming mode (blinking light) and attempt to update it. I continue to get error messages from my ISY (red !) and a message saying it could not communicate. I tried to manually force device update but no success as well. Ideas? THanks. ISY-Backup.v4.2.18__Sun 2015.10.25 06.58.05 PM.zip

Newbie Programming Reference
I am one of those people who hates to read online. Is there a printed programming guide for the ISY?

Leak Sensors - A (Suggested) Complete Program Package
So, I think I have my 2842 open/close module enrolled with the ISY. It seems to get latched to whatever state it goes to not being momentary like I thought it would be. Also, I've read through this thread but I am not sure I that I follow all of your changes. Is there a new "roll up" program that incorporates what you think is the current state of the art?

Leak Sensors - A (Suggested) Complete Program Package
I use an Insteon current sensor to see if the pump is running. I have the Insteon "water sensors" (wireless open/close sensor with a wire and some contacts that trigger the event when they get wet and short).

Leak Sensors - A (Suggested) Complete Program Package
Would I be able to use this program with the water sensors and the current sensors to work out a way to notify me not only if there is high water in my sumps but if the sump pumps are not actually running? The current sensors know if the pump is running and what I need to have is a notification that the pumps are running AND losing ground.

Java error
Java console report: Missing Application-Name manifest attribute for: http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/4.2.17/insteon.jar When I logged in from this link (successfully) I got a whole list of errors related to basically every module in the house. I am going to restart the ISY and see what happens. I can get in when I use the http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.1.2/admin.jnlp address. Now I am getting a PLM error message. I've restarted the ISY. Going to research the dead PLM. Still don't know why the other link does not work.

Java error
I had to rebuild my computer (Win 7) and I loaded the newest Java release. When I go to startup my web interface (www.universal-devices.com/00i) I get a java error: ClassNotFoundException com.universaldevices.client.ui.UDClientApplet.class I've uninstalled Java and reinstalled it. I have added the address to the Java trusted list in the Java console. What am I missing??

Open/Close sensor setup as water detector
I brought them downstairs to within 10 feet of my ISY and its PLM (which I thought was dual band) and put them in linking mode. Then I set the ISY to linking mode. It did not find them. I then entered their addresses, etc. manually but still the linking failed.

How To: Enable Internet Access
So if I went through all the steps on my router and filled out the necessary things in the setup on the ISY software, I'm all set? What about email notification? Do I need to set up a forwarding rule for SMTP? So I would use https://xx.xx.xxx.xxx (do I need the port number? 443?)

How To: Enable Internet Access
I have been fussing over this for some time. I have tried the wiki page instructions to no avail. I have a Verizon FIOS Actiontec MI424WR router. I have enabled port forwarding for 443 and 80 for the static IP address for the ISY. I tried to create and install a self-signed certificate and I thought it worked, it says it will reboot the ISY, but don't know if it actually works. When I click 'Enable Internet access' under the 'file' menu it always fails.

Open/Close sensor setup as water detector
Bought the kit from Smarthome. Came with the wireless O/C sensor module and sensor for in the sump. Tried linking to my ISY but the ISY does not see it. I have multiple Dual-band dimmers in my house so I would think that they would see the wireless device when I tried to start linking in the ISY. Am I missing something? This is the first time I've tried to link a purely wireless device to the ISY(other than a keypad).

Cannot get ISY to respond
ESET NOD32 It used to work then stopped working. Hmmmmm. I'll try disabling the firewall and see what happens.

Cannot get ISY to respond
Thanks, I'll try the router setup. I still cannot get the ISY to respond to me from my laptop. I can get it to respond and log into it successfully from my desktop but not through my laptop. I have deleted Java and reinstalled it. I have dumped the Java cache clearing all items possible but still cannot connect to the ISY from the laptop. The java app starts but I never get a login prompt. What other ideas to do others have?

Cannot get ISY to respond
Now, how do I configure my Verizon FIOS router to let me access the ISY remotely? I'm all over the wiki and cannot find the answer. I telneted into the ISY, connected and sent the EI command. It responded that "Could not configure the gateway."

Cannot get ISY to respond
I did the Java cache clearing but still no joy. Came in through the IP address and opened the admin console successfully. So now the question is why I cannot get there directly....

Cannot get ISY to respond
I got an "not found" message.

Cannot get ISY to respond
How do I clear the java cache? I'm using Win 7. Verizon did replace my router. Do I need to do anything to the new router?

Cannot get ISY to respond
I cannot log into my ISY today. It doesn't respond to the software when I start it nor when I click login. I have power cycled the ISY several times. The network lights are flashing on the jack on the back and when I power it it seems to do a normal startup ending up with one blue light. I need to do some linking and programming and am getting frustrated! Help, please. To clarify, I cannot get Admin Console to give me a login screen. I've restarted it many times. The shell loads but no logon dialog box.

Inability to log into ISY99

Q: Status of One Scene Triggers Another Scene
I don't know how to paste code from the ISY but I did a program like this this. I set the 'else' to set the scene I created 'on' but it doesn't seem to work. I also set the button to toggle mode 'off' only. Still doesn't work.
