  1. ISY is back online, just the ethernet cable connection is not secure (broken), but is connected now. I've ordered a replacement cable. My ISY finder is showing address as: http://192.168.1.3:100/desc Admin Console configuration page is showing http port as 100 and https port as 443 Should the http port be changed? If so, just manually change it in the Admin Console? If so, what port should it be set at? Thanks!
  2. @GeddyI was not able to access ISY through mobilinc, I only used mobilinc to check settings to see what my ISY's ip address/port was. I wanted to make sure that address was not in conflict with the new ip camera's address/port. I logged into my Arris router and ISY was not listed as a client. I decided to do a "reset" on router and ISY is back up and working properly. I suspect an older ethernet connection/cable as culprit, which may have been disturbed while setting up the new ip camera. I have ordered a replacement ethernet cable. I most appreciate your assistance and patience with me : ) @MrBillMy mobilinc settings show "secure port" as 443 and "local port" as 100. Is there something I need to change? And if so, how would I go about changing ports? Thanks!
  3. Thanks for your quick response. I can't login to admin console, but I do remember updating to version 5. something awhile back. I replace PLM's about every 2-3 years, had ISY since 2013 or 2014. I'm not sure when I purchased the last PLM, but I can usually kinda tell when they are going bad. I do not have any z-waves or ISY portal subscriptions, all insteon devices and programs, and all setup within admin console. I did add a new IP camera to my network a few days ago? My ISY address (by looking in my mobilinc phone app) is 192.168.1.18 port 100 and the new camera is 192.168.1.32 port 88.
  4. I cannot login to Admin Console. My Isy994i/IR power light is on and mem & err lights are flashing. I've unplugged PLM and ISY several times, still having same issue. This is my 4th or 5th PLM and it is fairly new. I'm on my second power supply. I just "unseated" the micro sd card and reinserted, same issue. Not sure where to go from here? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  5. Okay, thank you! Once I finish cleaning up my programming and scenes, I will look into upgrading to Pro.
  6. I do not have a "PRO" unit. How can I check if I have met the limitation of my unit? Thank you.
  7. I actually deleted many scenes and programs (cleaning things up), then when I went to make a new scene or create a new folder, started to received error. I'm afraid to delete any more scenes, so instead of deleting scenes I no longer need, I've been saving them so I can just rename and use for new scenes that I can no longer create as new. This has been my "workaround" until I can figure out problem. Is there a simple way to see if I have maxed out my system (I do not have pro)? I have a 2000 sq ft home, not sure how many total devices. I haven't added anything new in years, just swap out devices when they go bad.
  8. Rebooted computer, updated Windows, updated Java, cleared Java cache. Updated ISY994i to version to 4.9.0 firmware and UI. Still same error message. I opened Admin Console with my laptop and same issue? Should I attempt the restore PLM, ISY, and/or Devices option? Thanks.
  9. Sorry, its ISY994i. I will reboot computer and clear cache and report back. Thanks!
  10. Hello, I've been updating cleaning up some programs and reorganizing some scenes and folders in Admin Console. Everytime I try to create a new "folder" or "scene", I get an error message "request failed". I am able to rename current folders and scenes, just not able to create new ones? I'm hoping this is not related to PLM, as I just replaced it a few months ago (this is like my 6th or 7th PLM). Everything else seems to be working fine. I have unplugged ISY and PLM and restarted everything and still the same error message. For now, as a workaround, I'm not deleting any unneeded scenes and folders and reusing/renaming them. Any thoughts how to correct this? Thank you.

    Admin Console Login

It was the ISY's power supply causing all the issues over the past few days. This morning the ISY would no longer even power up. The power supply was replaced and all is well. Thanks again for all the help.
  12. Okay, I switched the power supply with my router switch power supply and ISY seems to be back up and working, although, my login and password defaulted back to admin/admin again. Otherwise, everything so far seems to be working fine! Never would have thought to check power supply especially since the green led light on it was still illuminated. Would you please send me a link as to where I may purchase an appropriate replacement power supply for the ISY994i? I very much appreciate the help and glad I do not have to replace the ISY or PLM!
  13. Hello, yesterday I posted on forum that "strangely" my login and password to admin console did not work for my ISY994i. I also noticed a few strange things, like lighting not shutting off after a certain period of time, etc. I was able to reset ISY back to default admin/admin and reset up my login and password, and again I was able to access the admin console. I did notice admin console running queries by itself. This morning, I noticed none of my programs were running, such as kitchen under cabinet lighting not turning on, etc. I again, was unable to access admin console, only the ISY finder box would come up and show nothing. The ISY994i unit showed red error light, so I unplugged PLM and ISY and plugged back in, I did this twice. The first time the ISY came back on with blue light only, still not able to access admin console. I unplugged everything again, this time ISY has no lights. It seems dead. This is my 4th PLM and it is only about a year or so old and it is lit up. Is there something I can do to reset this ISY994i unit or does it need to be replaced? Fortunately I did a backup yesterday after the strange behavior, so hopefully I will not have lost all my years of programming. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

    Admin Console Login

Was able to reset password and access ISY yesterday. This morning, none of my programs are running and I will start a new topic as it seems my ISY had died.

    Admin Console Login

Thank you, I most appreciate the quick response.
  16. For some strange reason I am unable to login to Admin Console, either on my laptop or main computer. The Admin Console comes up just fine but when I type my login and password, I get "failed, retry" (I do not have my Caps button on). I have never ever changed my login or password. I unplugged PLM and ISY and plugged back in, still unable to login, also updated Java. My router shows the ISY still being connected on same IP address, green light is on ISY and light is on PLM. Any suggestions to what may be causing this? Or, what is the procedure to clear login and password? Thank you for any assistance you may be able to provide.
  17. That's sounds like the best solution so far, only I'd have to run the low voltage wire underneath a 4' wide sidewalk and then a 14' wide driveway : (
  18. Closest power source is 50-75' away where I currently have an I/Olinc that controls a dakota alert motion sensor which is also located at the gate site. I was looking to control/operate the gate to open/close within the Insteon Network. I can view the gate's status with a security camera.
  19. I recently installed a new driveway entry gate with an Estate Swing gate opener that I would like to integrate into my ISY994i network. The gate opener is powered by battery/solar and I do not have an electrical outlet near gate opener panel box (so I cannot use an I/O linc). Is there a wireless device (insteon, x-10, z-wave, dakota, etc) that can be connected to the gate opener control board that will work wirelessly 50-75 feet away to the house, so that I may somehow integrate the gate operation into my ISY994i/Insteon network? Thanks for any suggestions!
  20. That's great news! When you say future, would that be more than a year or less than a year? Thanks.
  21. I noticed a little talk about the ISY994 supporting Z-Wave. I have an Intermatic Z-Wave Pool/Spa wireless remote control that turns pool pump on/off, lights on/off, fountain on/off & controls pool/spa heater temperature. Is there anyway currently to integrate this system into the ISY or any future plans to integrate it? Thanks.
  22. No sir, old PLM clearly labeled (Dual Band) 2413S V1.5, which was one of the first things I was told to check while troubleshooting the device many months ago. The access points would occasionally write updates to the remotelincs, but it would take many many attempts and placing the devices on the floor next to one of the access points. Just wasn't worth all the effort, so eventually just integrated my harmony remote to replace the remotelincs.
  23. Thank you, but I am going to stay optimistic that the old PLM was the root of all evil! About a year ago, I had removed all of my insteon wireless RF devices, (4 remotelincs & 2 motions) from my system, as although they did work, if I made any changes to programming, my system would not "update" the devices. I tried numerous troubleshooting ideas from this forum and final conclusion/assumption was I had RF interference in home (which I could not seem to isolate). As I was curious, last night, I added one of the remotelincs back into the system, placed it near the new PLM and it "updated" instantly, without any issues!!! Just one more indication the old PLM was evil! Thanks again!
  24. Late last night I was able to get the last two I/O lincs to communicate. All devices are communicating now and all programs are running on schedule. For many months, I've had increasing communication issues with my system. Could this have been caused by a failing/faulty PLM? Since things are running PERFECT now with the new PLM, I can only assume the old PLM was the culprit of all or most of the problems. Although, I may be speaking too soon and I may be wrong on assuming the PLM was the culprit. (Tomorrow is another day and things may change. ) If I had to make a suggestion to Smarthome or Insteon, it would be to develop a simple device to test their PLM's! I've spent numerous days, month after month, trying to troubleshoot communication issues, not to mention the money spent on filterlincs, that I now have on almost every appliance in my home, that didn't help. I do most appreciate the help that is provided here on this forum. Thanks again.
  25. Yes, all communicate very well (better than with previous PLM), quick status updates, turn on/off etc, EXCEPT for 1 KPL and 3 I/O Lincs. I was able to get the KPL and one of the I/O Lincs to communicate, but still have 2 I/O Lincs that will not communicate. They work if I manually tap button on device, but no status updates in ISY, can't query or turn on/off in Isy. I moved a few access points around to see if that helped and moved the one I/O Linc to several different outlets in different parts of the house with no success. More importantly, all my Programs are working except the ones that have either of those two devices. Any ideas on getting those last two I/O Lincs to communicate with ISY? Thanks again for your assistance.
