It's a very simple scene... I can't figure out how to get a picture on here to save my life, but 2 two buttons are both controllers, with the io line a responder.. I can't figure out why it wouldn't work.. almost seems like the kpl is messed up
-
no answers to this I guess... still haven't figured it out, guess it'll be a nuance..
-
Ok so i take it back a bit.. 'Drapes Control' is a scene that contains kpl buttons 5 and 6 as controllers, and indoor\shades (an i\o line) as responder..
-
Both responders: Drapes closed at night - [iD 00B8][Parent 0043] If From Sunset + 10 minutes To Sunrise (next day) And Status 'Indoors / Shades' is On Then Set Scene 'Drapes Control' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

I'm not meaning the secondary leds, I don't think... I'm not trying to control the buttons directly via program.. I'm having the program control the scene. I mean shouldn't the scene turn both buttons off if they're both in the scene as responders?? If I send an off manually to the scene the buttons turn off.. so why don't they turn off when the ISY sends an off to the scene via program?
-
So I have a scene with a program... If someone pushes my KPL button (buttons 5\6) during the day, a program will automatically turn the scene back off (prevent accidentally turning on during the day). All works fine.. however.. Even though the program does correctly trigger the scene back off.. and the ISY shows the scene and both buttons (responders) as being off.. the lights on the buttons on the kpl show it as on.. If I manually re-issue a scene off command the buttons will go off.. and I've tried putting in a 3 second wait and re-issue scene off but that doesn't work either.. frustrating when the buttons stay on but the ISY shows it as off (even a query still shows it as off). Any ideas?

so.. I can't figure out why this program is not working.. turned the fan on manually. temperature is 71 degrees.. fan not shutting off... Living Room Fan Off --------------------------------- If Status 'Thermostat - Main' <= 74° (Temperature) And Status 'Indoors / Living Room Fan Motor' is not Off Then Set 'Indoors / Living Room Fan Motor' Off Wait 15 minutes Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') ------------ I've also tried it like this: If Status 'Thermostat - Main' <= 74° (Temperature) Then Set 'Indoors / Living Room Fan Motor' Off Wait 15 minutes Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

So.. I have a scene with one of the buttons of an 8 button keypad as controller, and an outdoorlinc as responder... All works fine at the keypadlinc button. If I login to the java console and hit on (at the scene), only the 8 button keypad turns on, the outdoorlinc doesn't. If I hit fast on however, they both turn on as expected... off works as expected. not sure why... Now this is where gets odder.... I use mobilinc, and if I try to turn the scene on, I get the message "Bad Message ISY failed to process the request. Please try again" If I use mobilinc and try fast on at the scene, the ISY994i crashes and auto-restarts... I'm not sure if this is a bug in the ISY or mobilinc, or if something different is going on?

I don't expect to get a response as I've posted 4 times and nobody has answered me yet... Tried to update to 4.2.15, failed toward the end saying something about written size not valid. Waited until 4.2.16 came out, same issue but sooner during the upgrade. Now I have gui at level 4.2.15 and firmware at 4.2.25. Can someone please help me? My ISY isn't behaving correctly, and doesn't look good that I can't update it.

I don't normally have to log into my isy-994i much, but I did today to look at some things. I went to the climate tab, and under status everything says 0 for all the weather options.. I thought maybe my local weatherbug feed was down (even though its a NWS feed from a major airport), so I went to find and put in my zip code as well as the local metro zip code. No stations are being found... is weatherbug down, or do I have an issue of some sort?

Update: I can add a subfolder to my existing folders, then if I select that new folder and select 'remove from folder' it goes to the root... Just can't create off the root... odd...

ISY 994i version 4.0.5, java 7.45 with security disabled on Mac. I cannot right click on 'Network' and create a scene or folder. I can Create a scene by going to link management, but can't create folders at all. Ideas? Pre-existing folders are there, I just haven't tried to create a folder in a while.
-
GENIUS lol. Thanks, that worked great

On my ISY994i version 4.0.5, I cannot save a backup. When I select backup ISY, the selection window (Mac, Java version 7 update 45), folder icons etc. are weird, and some are missing. I can navigate to the desktop or documents folder, but wherever I choose it fails and says cannot create zip file. I've tried using the https version of the admin console just in case, but that just throws all kinds of security errors logging in and gets me nowhere. Is there an issue with the newest java, or am I missing something? I've of course deleted all my java caches etc.

Count me in on wanting this.... Venstar has been saying for almost 2 years that insteon module was coming out for t5800 and also the t5900 that would be coming out... FINALLY the t5900 is out, but still no insteon for either...

Yea I've done something similar setup with a variable. Problem is a scene change or control cannot be used to change a variable, or if my wife or me by accident when trying to open the door (we use mobilinc) toggle the morninglinc directly instead of the scene or using a program to do it, then the variable as well as all my programs get screwed up. I really need to be able to use morninglinc as a controller or be able to parse the current status of morninglinc in programs (like I could before) or be able to use 'if control of morninglinc is switched on\off" in programs' or be able to use 'if control of 'scene' is switched on\off etc in programs' All of these I would think would be easy to do... I totally get that the status of morninglinc may not be actual status (due to someone using a key, etc.) but no one in our house uses any method except the ISY\mobilinc to unlock the door unless it's an emergency (dead batteries, isy not working etc.) which never happens.... If a disclaimer needs to be attached etc. that's fine, but to limit functionality due to this issue just seems dumb.... At least put back the ability to parse the current status of the morninglinc.... OR set it as a controller... Right now my house is LESS secure, because the door isn't always being locked. on the flip side, half the time I need to pull out my phone and manually go in and unlock my door while dealing with kids, groceries, etc because the program doesn't unlock my door as it thinks it's unlocked already (I use homelink\ezx10rf or mobilinc location\gps function to open garage\door\lights when coming home and leaving). Not to mention my keypadlinc button being out of sync as well.
-
I have no problems between the morninglinc and isy, they work perfect and in fact isy\plm\morninglinc all plugged into same outlet. It's just that the options to query the status of the morninglinc are not available to my programs in the isy like they previously were, which makes things very difficult
-
There is not, nothing behind the applet window
-
I click the link and the applet loads, but doesn't prompt for login nor show any devices etc.
-
That's a good question... For sure 3.x something.. I can't say when last version for sure, I just know it worked. Used the status to update a variable to keep in sync a scene/keypadlinc in the case the morninglinc was activated directly. I really wish it could be added as a controller to a scene as well as/instead of just a responder.
-
So I used to be able to use the status of my morninglinc in my programs (at least the status of what the ISY sees it as). I know this is inherently inaccurate etc. etc.. Now however when I try to use it in a program, I get: and - status - "front door-on" - .... - responding and when I click "add to 'if'" I get in the program: If Status "Front Door-on" null responding Is there an issue with my setup, a change in the isy firmware, or am I doing something wrong? I really really need to use the ISY status of the morninglinc in my programs.

Thank you so much! I had this same problem, and just found this post, solved it right away. does seem weird that a manual run doesn't override the above folder requirements...

I have an ISY-994iZ. Can I replace the Zigbee radio with a Z Wave radio?
