  1. I have created several simple programs based upon everyone's comments. There are three programs indicating that the: Device is working - heartbeat every morning at 9:00am Area is dry - every morning at 9:30am Area is wet - whenever that occurs (hopefully never again). Thanks to all.
  2. From my buddy who consults for Insteon (caveat - older sensors might be different): For most EISY setups, “wet” corresponds to ON, and “dry” corresponds to OFF. The heartbeat node reports the sensor’s status to confirm communication, typically every 24 hours. The EISY will display “yes” when the heartbeat is received; if it hasn’t seen one in that period, it’ll switch to “no.” When the sensor detects moisture, wet → ON and dry → OFF. Once it’s been triggered (wet), you must tap the set button several times to manually reset it to normal operation. This is a safety behavior — the device won’t automatically return to “dry” after getting wet, since floating debris or position changes could falsely suggest the water issue is resolved. During testing, you may notice it doesn’t automatically reset — that’s expected until you press the set button to acknowledge the condition.
  3. Ty, paulbates. I will uninstall and reinstall the sensor. JUST UNINSTALLED/REINSTALLED. YOU'RE CORRECT. I MESSED UP AND OVERWROTE THE NAMES. MY BAD!!!! Also, I'm awaiting a response to my email to my Insteon contact. Somehow, I don't remember the original 2852-222 as being this complicated to program. Maybe, it's my age...
  4. The names for xxx.2 and xxx.4 were identical except for the numbers. I definitely would have made a note of the original names had they been different. I do have a contact at Insteon that might be able to shed some light on the module. Perhaps I should send him an email?
  5. Well, the sensor (2852-222 version 3.0 2724) arrived, and I installed it into the Eisy program. Post installation, I now have three devices: Device 1: xx.xx.xx.1 Dry Device 2: "Kitchen Sink (my name)".2, the #2 automatically showed up Device 3: "Kitchen Sink (my name)".4, the #4 automatically showed up I have started to set up programs that cause an email to be sent for the heartbeat and any potential leak. But, I'm not sure why there are three devices. Can someone help here, please? Thanks.
  6. Ty to all. Will review the suggestions, key in on one, and try to implement it.
  7. I have had several leaks under my kitchen sink (new home) connected to a new Insinkerator disposal that I think have finally been resolved with a new, more substantial o-ring. To be sure that there is no damage in the future, I have ordered the leak sensor. The problem is the drain, not the hot/cold water input, so I don't need to connect up water shutoff valves. I'm not sure what kind of programming/notification I want to create. Anyone have any programs that they have successfully used for notification, or any other ideas? BTW, I had several of these sensors in my old home, but those were ISY, not EISY, days and more than 10 years ago. Long lost... Ty!
  8. I put four small 1/4" high bumpers (one on each corner) under the EISY and the unit runs warm, not hot. The desk top upon which the EISY rests is not even mildly warm.
  9. Thank you to all for your help, but this seems above my paygrade. I'm going to stick with the simple dusk or +/- 6pm turn on.
  10. Thanks to all. The program with the combined on/off works fine. If available, I would love to see the "cloudy" program, too.
  11. All, Ty! I will try the simple ones first. I do, however, like the cloudy program idea. Please stay tuned.
  12. Had started this topic earlier, but stopped due to a software glitch. That glitch has been fixed, but the topic has been closed out. Before closing out, I had received certain programming suggestions, but I was not able to make any work for me. I'm looking to have lights turn on at the earlier of sunset or 6pm, whichever comes sooner, and turn off at 10pm (or so).
  13. Are you running any Insteon I3Dial switches? If so, update to the latest UD release.
  14. Since everything seems to be working properly and the log shows minimal errors, I'm back to trying some programming to turn on certain lights at sunset +"x' random minutes or +/-6pm +"x' random minutes if sunset is later (spring/summer) and visa versa if sunset is earlier (fall/winter) following dbwarner5 examples. Tonight will tell the tale.
  15. Problem resolved with the latest UD release...no more crashes.
