Help Needed
I have a similar thread running about motion detector lights with similar issues with other members helping me through it. My question is this: Why is WAIT not simply a normal WAIT command? Why does it have to re-evaluate the trigger before continuing? Maybe the ISY needs a new command like PAUSE. At the end of the pause, the program will continue to execute in order. In my case of the motion lights, I just want to start a process on a trigger (ex...motion), but the motion will probably not be triggered at that point so it terminates.

2413UH USB PLM
Thanks! I didn't want to go through the PLM swap procedure just to check it.

2413UH USB PLM
I don't know where this came from, but I found a 2413UH PLM in my box of rejects and X10 items. I know my ISY needs the serial version, but, if I change the USB daughter board in this one to the Serial version, should it work? I have a blown up 2413S that re-capping did not fix, but I have swapped the serial board into a known working 2413S and it works. Just wondering before I pitch it.

Hidden Door Sensor Alternate Use
The 4 ft was a quick guess, but the stairs are slightly under 8". There are 4 steps then the step up to enter the house. So, in actuality, there are 5 steps at about 40 inches total. Yes, the kids don't lock the garage door.

Hidden Door Sensor Alternate Use
Thanks for the comments! It is a door from the garage, and it is up 4 stairs (with no landing), so I am not worried about someone being able to get the leverage to kick it, although it would make for a funny video as they fell down 4 feet! I am working on my wife for the zwave tomorrow.

Hidden Door Sensor Alternate Use
Thanks! I have the space, there are 4 2x4s stacked on that side of the door frame. I didn't think about the battery change outs. How long do the batteries last in these units?

Hidden Door Sensor Alternate Use
I have 2 kids that obviously are unable to remember to lock a door. Does anyone know if it would work if I installed a hidden door sensor in the hole where the deadbolt goes in to sense if it is locked or not? I would set up a program to notify me after 10pm if the deadbolt was not activated. I know I can do this with Zwave deadbolts, but my wife likes the locks we have. Just wondering before I purchase one. Thanks in advance!

LG TV
Too bad this didn't work. I always wanted to control my tv so that whenever someone rang my doorbell, my tv would automatically switch to another input to view the camera at the front door. This sounded like a promising way to do it. Maybe there is another way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
