I have ud mobile on an Iphone, iPad, and iPad pro. I added some favorites to my iPad pro. I noticed that they did not show up on my iPhone. For some reason, I assumed it would sync across devices. In any case I then did a backup to iCloud and reloaded that backup locally to the iPhone and did a restore. All seems fine. So my question: is this the proper / only way to sync across devices, or is there a simpler way to keep them all in sync. Also are there any pitfalls doing it this way. Thanks Steve

@ResIpsa From what I see in the eisy specs Home assistant will run on it. Some might like this.

FYI. I had the same thing happen on Sunday, after the daylight savings time change. My sunset and 9PM shutoff programs failed to run. I had to manually run their "then" statements. All times etc were correct. It self healed by Monday and alll went back to normal. Running IoP on Polisy.

I have been using it for about 9 months now and have been working with the developer who is very responsive. I would be happy to answer any questions you have. Steve

Good News It looks like something went wrong in PG3. I restarted it and all appears to be back working. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. I won't bother you if I see any issues until you get back. Thanks for your help.

sorry for posting to the wrong forum. I am still trying to isolate the issue. @glarsen Same problem today. Status not changing anymore to running. Could you take a look at attached ( isy and Pg3) log files and let me know if you see anything wrong. Watering started on circuit 3 at 11:00 and circuit 8 around 11:02. After no change in status, I did a manual query, for each about 30 seconds after starting. I have no idea what each field means but am guessing ST set to 0 might be status. Is that what would be normal. I had rebooted the IoP this AM and restarted the Node server yesterday. Maybe tomorrow I will reboot the rain machine. Any trouble shooting ideas would be appreciated. I can't imagine how it could possibly affect the Node server, but the only thing that has changed is that I signed up for the yearly subscription plan from rain machine that permits remote access. Hi @glarsen I have been without issues for many months now...Thanks Starting last Sunday my programs stopped triggering when a zone was turned on. I had made no changes to anything. This morning I updated my PG3 and all programs via the ISY on Polisy admin interface, to see if that would fix the problem. No change. I am able to turn zones on and off fine. Just the status is wrong and if I do a query while a circuit is running it does not show as running...always idle. Has anyone else seen this. I have attached various screen shots and logs below. The log file was captured while a program was running this am. Note RZ check program last run time of SaturdayThanks RainMachine_7-25-2022_111030_AM.zip

sorry I can't I am not using the Node server currently.

I will be interested to hear your impression after you have had it awhile. Here is another way to do what you want via load shedding on one AC. This one is not outdoor rated and not sure if hardwiring an AC to it is code, but you get the idea. If you search the internet there might be one that would work outdoors and allow hardwiring. Just a thought. https://www.getneocharge.com/smart-splitter Also if you are willing to pay 5 $ a month and allow a developer to see your cars data, I use Teslafi. More info than you will ever need to know. Screen shot below.

Not to be a debbie downer and I like a good engineering solution as well as anyone else...... A couple data points, after having both a tesla S and 3 for 5 years now. Number 1 you are going to love it. I still have 2 internal combustion vehicles, but can't imagine buying any more. The big key is how many miles you drive each day, freeway or not, and to some extent the weather etc. But as a rule of thumb you can expect to get about 3 to 4 miles per KW. So if you drive 60 miles a day, you might need to add 15 - 20 kw per day. You can adjust these numbers for your usage. You can plug it in a normal 110v outlet charging at 1500 w/hour and with losses will get about 3 miles per hour. Not ideal, but my retired neighbors who don't drive much, do just fine charging that way. If you have access to a normal dryer plug you can easily get 5 KW/h or approx 15 to 20 miles per hour. If you want to rewire you can get higher speeds, though most people won't need them. I have a 5KW plug at home. In my case, I do just fine charging for about 5 hours every 2 or 3 days in the middle of the night at off peak. My point being work charging on a KW+ rate may not even be needed. So think about your daily mileage first. The car also will let you program the charging rate based on location. So you could set it to charge slowly at work and faster at home in the middle of the night. You can also set it to charge at a specific time, or be ready at a specific time, and it is aware of TOU rates. Lastly polling the car to set/query status, wakes the car up resulting in KW usage keeping the computers and wifi connections up and talking to the mothership. I have seen it be as high as 2 kw per day when I was querying a lot. Better to let it go into deep sleep. I had range/charge anxiety when I got my first one. In reality charging and range for me are no big deal. Please feel free to ask any questions you want. I already made this far longer than I wanted to. I am sure there are other Tesla owners who might've more to add or comment on my thoughts.

@JimboAutomates I seem to have an issue with v14. It starts OK then after awhile does not seem to return data from a long poll. If I do a query in the admin interface all updates OK. Log file in GitHub under the invalid token issue.
-
FYI @JimboAutomates Just restarted here and still have v.13 showing on pg3 info. Node server store also shows v.13 as latest Did not see flash of v14 that @hart2hart saw
-
@JimboAutomates Yes I have had mine hang 2 times in the past 2 weeks. I unfortunately was out of town both times and did not catch it soon enough to get the log files. Have been up for the last 4 days without a problem.
-
how do you have the flume Node server configured. It is working fine for me. Also check to make sure it is running by viewing the log file. Jimbo has been working very hard to program around the weirdness in the flume interface, but it seems to act up every no and then for no reason.

Current us gallons is the amount of gallons metered during the last "current interval" period. It looks I don't see any reason why "todays gallons" wouldn't work as you describe it. Since Flume has our zip code I would expect the midnight clearing would also work as you think.

Here is how I do it. See program below. I will add a few comments. I have variables $tmp set up for expected value, circuit running, and actual flow. In the "then" part below, I am mostly using it for debug purposes right now, and to set the variables for which circuit is running and its expected value. The expected value I get from my rain machine. Not sure what exflora has. If you turn the circuit in a program, you could skip all of my "then" part. Also you most likely know circuit and expected usage. The else gets triggered when the circuit stops running. I then sample the flume gallons variable to see volume used. Remember that the flume Node server polls based on 2 things. The long poll is how often it queries flume. The current interval is the number of minutes that the usage reflects. So if you want GPM you divide (flume value)/ ( current poll interval). I take actual value and save it to a variable then divide by sample rate. I then save it in a tmp variable and send these off to another program to compare actual and expected use. Feel free to ask any questions. RZ1 Check Kiwi - [ID 0024][Parent 0013] If 'RainMachine: / Zone 1 - Kiwis' Status is Running Then Wait 1 minute $TMP_flow_EXP = $RZ01EXP $TMP_Cir_on = 1 $TMP_Flow_Act = 0 $Flume_Current = 'FlumeWater / Flume Sensor 6697386597803890' Current US gallons Send Notification to 'Steve Mail' content 'Circuit Flow' Else $Flume_Current = 'FlumeWater / Flume Sensor 6697386597803890' Current US gallons $RZ01ACT = 'FlumeWater / Flume Sensor 6697386597803890' Current US gallons $RZ01ACT /= $TMP_Flume_Sample_Rate $TMP_Flow_Act = $RZ01ACT Send Notification to 'Steve Mail' content 'Circuit Flow' Run Program 'Excess Flow Found' (If)

to @Javi and any others interested in sprinkler monitoring I am doing the same thing as you javi, only using the rain machine node server and flume. In addition to your application, my main reason is to detect broken lines and timely repair them as we are in a drought.

While looking at the info provided by the kasa node server, I noticed that even though the device is off the current power field shows the ON power usage. If I do a manual query, the current power is updated to the correct value i.e. zero. See screen shots below. Before and after a query Is this how it should work? Thanks

Rainmachine unplugged for 6 days causing issues
stevehoyt replied to stevehoyt's topic in RainMachine
@glarsen Ah Ha....and I was the one that requested you add it. Poetic Justice I guess huh It does however bring up an issue. If I remember correctly, you or someone else, said that there were not going to be any further code releases for the 994 version. It seems this is the first of many examples, I would expect, where the PG3 version of a node server is going have to be classified as for IoP only. I would expect that UDI will have to start documenting these prerequisites. Would you like to have the discussion of your findings with @Michel Kohanim or should I bring it up. -
Rainmachine unplugged for 6 days causing issues
stevehoyt replied to stevehoyt's topic in RainMachine
Great news. I wonder what changed recently, as it has been running fine for a couple months. It is not urgent to get it running right away. I have a couple months before I need my app. Michael has also discussed the possibility of moving to isy on Polisy if the fix is too hard. As you know, I was waiting for the official release before doing that, but can move it up if the fix on an i994 does not make sense. -
Rainmachine unplugged for 6 days causing issues
stevehoyt replied to stevehoyt's topic in RainMachine
yes I have a standalone isy running 5.3.4 and admin console at 5.3.4 . Michael asked me to do a complete reinstall which I just completed. Here are a few screen caps I sent to him also. The first 3 caps show the server being uninstalled and verified cleared out of admin console, and programs missing ref to the node server. Then the reinstall and reboot of ISY along with programs now referencing the variable but again now yellowed out. Am still not seeing the zones in the pull down of the if statements. Also not sure if he told you, I installed a second copy on my second rain machine in a different slot as test and got the same results. The nodes get populated and report the change in status just fine, so that part is good just can't reference in an if statement it appears. The screen caps seem to out of order I am not sure why. -
Rainmachine unplugged for 6 days causing issues
stevehoyt replied to stevehoyt's topic in RainMachine
Thanks @glarsen and @bumbershoot. I have tried to change the if statement and cannot. If I change another statement and do a save the yellow goes away. I'll see if they start running again. If I try to create any new programs, I still am not able to create an if statement checking whether a circuit is running. It no longer appears in the pull down list. is it possible for one of you to try createing an if statement to check for a circuit running? and see if it works for you. Then I will know it is a problem just with me. Perhaps I should delete the node server and reinstall it in a different slot. Thanks Steve -
Try it again. The 5 packs are sold out but you can buy 5 at a time by upping the quantity. I just got 5.
