  1. Under the Link Management menu, select Advanced options and then try Device Reported.
  2. If you use list devices links does it show extraneous links?
  3. I don’t contribute to this type conversation. [emoji6] knock yourselves out. 1,000 is yours.
  4. I’d stop factory resetting things and enter a support ticket with UD.
  5. Insteon 2448A7 + RaspberryPi + ISY994? https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic?share_fid=23986&share_tid=32546&share_pid=315419&url=https://forum.universal-devices.com/index.php?/topic/32546-Insteon-2448A7-%2B-RaspberryPi-%2B-ISY994%3F/page__view__findpost__p__315419&share_type=t&link_source=app It’s post 40 in this thread.
  6. If you restore with same PLM, it does not update any device except for the PLM. Only takes a few minutes.
  7. Yes. I tested with it and there is a post with images.
  8. You’re at the limit of links so even if not root of this problem, you’ll likely need to review scenes to reclaim some space. My guess is you’ve used lots of scenes. Was the switch in question a recent addition? Another thing to try is to restore plm from ISY to see if you get back any orphan links. Can you pull switch from wall and attach to wiring harness shown above and plug in to same outlet as plm ?
  9. The listing feature does a get next link from the plm link n order to provide count. If an Insteon message arrives while it’s in progress, the plm will resume listing the records at where that located record is not the last place it was at in simple list feature. If the record accessed comes before where the listing had progressed, you get an artificial high count. If it comes after where you had progressed, you’ll get a low count. With lots of devices it is hard to get an accurate count, you have to make sure no one turns on a light or a motion sensor is tripped or a leak sensor sends a heartbeat signal. You had a more recent plm than original install so you’ve had to do a plm replace which would get rid of orphan records. So given that one of the counts was close to the recreated baseline of 991, you probably didn’t have orphan records and you’re near the limit. That said, I’d try it again a few more times to see if you can get a consistent count. If you’re at the limit, typically the only thing you can do is eliminate scene. Some report creating many scenes for different lighting moods. In those cases, you might be able to use alter scene in a program to get what you needs. It’s not as slick/fast as scenes but might get desired result but with a little lag as programs are not instantaneous. Try adding the device and see what you get.
  10. Is your PLM a model 2412S or 2413S? 2412 had less than 500 links. Although I’d say it’s a record if you have still have a working 2412.
  11. I kinda remember some older PLMs may have only had 500 links but very vague memory. The ones I recall all had 1000 links. Regardless, no new serial PLMs exist right now. You can check current link count with Admin console on ISY. Tools Diagnostics Show PLM link table. The issue is if you have any Insteon traffic it will reset pointer and screw up the count. If you can make sure nothing sends an Insteon signal inclining motion sensors, it’ll be accurate. Run command a few times to see if you get same count more than once. I actually took my ISY, PLM and a laptop to a neighbors with wired Ethernet once to get an accurate count.
  12. My Insteon network is very similar to yours in size and device composition. Many of my switches go back to about 2009 and like you I have bought a stock of dual band devices to replace them as they fail. I have about 7 access points and 5 of them were the model two versions that someone mentioned. I noticed reliability of some devices failing. Did a bit of checking and found that 4 of 5 access points had failed. I repaired them using new capacitors and reliability was restored. Model 2 have a green LED and it will be dim or off if it’s dead. Too late to say long story short but I only posted the repair link in regards to the access points MrBill mentioned failing. With 150 devices and I’m sure many scenes you may be bumping up against the PLM link limit. If you’re on version 5 and use polyglot, I’d install the inventory nodeserver to see if you’re getting close to limit. Additionally, you might restore PLM with existing PLM still in place which I believe reclaims entries. It only updates PLM with fresh list stored in ISY and does not need to update other devices. Something I read once made me think it’s a sparse list data structure in PLM vs dense list.
  13. Was just posted on another thread. Best I’ve seen and common wisdom is replace all of them. https://www.rototron.info/insteon-plm-repair-tutorial/
  14. I’ve had this happen a couple times. In my case the ISY appeared to be stuck in linking mode. I rebooted and then power cycled it but I think in the end the ISY just timed out of linking mode. I pulled air gap on new switch so not sure what finally fixed it. I then starting link mode again after I factory reset the switch.
  15. See page 13 of following manual on how to set reversing valve mode between O/B so it will cool. http://cache.insteon.com/documentation/2732-xx2-en.pdf
  16. In the thread you listed, I posted about testing a 2413U and it works in same configuration as the wireless PLM.
  17. I’ll take it at price you mentioned in other post.
  18. GPIO nodeserver looks like it but I haven’t used it. Also a relay board like: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DR9SE4A/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apip_6LmWveA9NhssY There are smaller versions depending on number of relays needed.
  19. Before I start, the following is a kludge I’l used years ago. Way before nodes, polyglot and Polisy. I took RF remotes apart and soldered the button contact points to relays. I used an IR controlled relay board but same could be done with a RPi relay board. When IR or network command for RPi is sent, it momentarily close the relay which mimics a button press. If you can hide setup and cost of extra remotes is not an issue, it works great but is far from elegant. I know nothing about zigbee and interfacing to it so Keep looking for better but as a backup…
  20. I wrote following conservative guide to move from 4.x to 5.x https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/26381-upgrade-from-473-to-5015a-task-list/
  21. I’m guessing whoever installed created a scene that turned all the their lights on it off. I don’t remember (doesn’t mean it’s not there) the built in all on/off being accessible. It was always by accident.
  22. I fixed 2 of 3 2443 access points. I had 2 version 2.1 that only had 4 capacitors. One worked and the other didn’t L1 on the one that didn’t fix, blinks green, looks suspect. Is it a known failure point on that version?
  23. Agreed. Michel and UDI are the very best I’ve ever worked with!
