I am unhappy to report that now I cannot add my Bali Spring Fashions Autoview mini remotes. They used to work just fine with the previous version through the ZMatter board. Now I can remove them from the network but never add them back. Ok I went and found the log. FYI: I had a Z-Wave network working just fine with the ZMatter board and v5.4.5, but when I upgraded to v5.5.0 through SSH my Z-Wave devices stopped working (nodes visible, but no status update and no action happened for on/off etc). I then went and pressed the move to ZMatter button as per instructions, which then happily went on and nuked my Z-Wave network. Nobody thought of my corner case and I guess the assumption was that everybody had this Zooz dongle. I didn't. Good thing I only had <10 devices moved over.

I don't have a dongle at all, just the ZMatter board. Maybe they mean that in the next update ZMatter will get prioritized if you also have the dongle? I don't know, I'm lost.

From the latest mail: "All this said, we are going to spend the weekend and Monday to finalize migration/routing, with or without which we’ll release a version on Tuesday the 13th. This way, those who do not need migration can start playing and enjoying ZMatter while we fix migration or SiLabs comes up with an updated firmware." Now I am really scratching my head on this one. Was I supposed to NOT be using the board yet all this time? I am using it just fine in a brand new Z-Wave network.

Thanks. I think this works. However, does this turn the scene into a one command scene, compared to a scene that can accept both On and Off? I was hoping to create a single virtual blind that controls both.

This is the only related reply I found on this forum about a similar problem:

I don't know if this is a ZMatter specific issue since I don't have much experience with previous UDI Z-Wave solutions. I am using Polisy Pro + the ZMatter board in a brand new Z-Wave network. I have two Bali Z-Wave blinds side by side in the same room. I want to group them in a Z-Wave scene so that I can control them at the same time. Both blinds show up as Class C Motor Control. ISY can control both blinds just fine individually (On, Off work as expected), but when I group them in a Z-Wave scene and hit On, the only both open half way (exactly 50%). What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Sadly the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave ones are garbage. 3 of mine already failed. I regret putting them in all over the house. No idea how they have decent reviews.

Unfortunately, this is my main request And the question I posed originally on this thread, which is fast going off topic.

New smart home standard Matter is finally officially official with 190 certified devices https://www.androidpolice.com/matter-official-amsterdam-launch-event/ Maybe @Michel Kohanim knows?

Alternate Device Categories other than Scene/Lights/Switch/Outlets?
zmarty replied to switzch's topic in Google Home
I don't get how that would solve my problem. My query to set lights brightness to X% would still affect both the real lights and the blinds that are exposed as "lights". Google added a separate device type for shades/blinds in their Google Home API earlier this year. It would be great if Universal Devices team would add support for it.
