  1. When going to beta downloads I see that there is a 992 and a 994 along with the isy 99, On the products page only the ISY 99 is listed with variations. So what are these modles and where can we see specs for them. Thanks.
  2. with the ir pro and ir linc, using a harmoney remote which would learn the codes? Its a bit confusing what codes are what are they rc5 or phillips? How does one know? , I did a google search on what code harmoney 1100 uses but came up short any help would be thankful. I think between the two I should be abel to learn any code? or am I mistaken?
  3. This looks like just what I need, but price is a bit high, I only need 2 temp sensors maybe 3, does it interface with the ISY well? as far as setting up scenes, and vairables. eg if pool heater does not warm up the turn off then back on? etc. Thank You Rob
  4. Thank You Lee again, I tried this also before but it would not work until I added a few seconds on the clock, which brings me to the question why do I have to add time to the sunset/sunrise program. The ISY does have a internal clock that adjusts daily to both sunset/sunrise, can it not start running at that exact moment? Not that it matters 15 seconds but just trying to understand the ISY better, also thought that would be a simpler way of doing it. Thank You again!
  5. I have a million ideas of way I could use a ir transmitter and receiver, but lack info on using and programming them. Somewhere I read back in the day you can only use phillips ir code, has that changed? can I use any code? how do I set it up in ISY? I know about the ir tab but seem not to be abel to read many signals I try to program! So does anyone have time to write a more in depth "how to" Thanks Rob
  6. what is the price point of this setup? I simply want to monitor my pool temp and weather the pool water is low or not? I dont want to spend a fortune doing or countless hours setting it up, it looks nice but expensive to!
  7. This may or may not be a bug? In the program content I tried writing a program as follows IF time is after sunset (I tried both and/or) "before" sunrise. The "before" all ways goes back to after?? is this a dumb mistake on my part? I might as well include the last line of IF, "and status downstairs motion sensor is on". I have them in order sunset, sunrise, status. Thanks in advanced.
  8. Michel I could help you merge the two posts, I was a phpBB admin on a Gaming site, I will help if you need it. No charge to those that help others
  9. I am having a issue with the motion sensors keep getting 20000/51 error I tried 3 different motion sensors. All other 31 devices work fine. Just seems to be motion sensors. Any thoughts??
  10. Install went fine upgraded from 7.8 to current, was abel to access the ISY once, the next time I tried was not abel to, I have tried the 6 methods on the install page (rather links) get publishers errors, cannot connect etc. I'm using IE9 beta but also was using it with 7.8 and it worked fine. Any thoughts, I cleared the certs from java also the history. I used to have a admin icon to get to ISY and that to has disappeared. using the ip address has no luck either.
  11. No it was a normal string with 50 bulbs, not led... probably used more juice then a 60w bulb.
  12. Yes I plugged one strand of lights in it, they stay on all the time. I try to turn it off via the button and Isy still no luck, I know it worked fine till last day of season, but like all electronic things, eventually they brake, just curious as to why it would only affect, specifically 2 of the 8 moduals I have, and none of the switches? as soon as I plug it into the wall the other two moduals act up. For now I think its time to look for a replacement. but thanks Lee for another problem solved, thats not the ISY . I have no problems linking it, queering it or anything else, just as soon as a on or off command is sent it gives me that error. I even did a restore , error free.
  13. ok think I figured it out but it was strange, using the plm directly, plugging each one in at a time, I still received the comm error, but being stuborne and lazy not wanting to plug christmas lights in by hand, I was playing around and tried them in the wall one at a time, surprise the lamp lincs worked but the app linc still was giving me a comm error, If I plugged all three into different outlets around the house none of them would work, but I have 4 more that worked fine in the back yard not to mention the 30 switches I have on my walls. Seems the appliance linc would only affect the other two and nothing else. I was sure to put one on the other phase of the house to see if it was a phase issue but, still acted the same way. Looking at the logs do you see any problems?

  15. I was setting up my christmas lights the other day and used 2 lamp lincs and one appliance linc using ver. 8.4 Now in fall all of these worked, so now that pool is closed I decide to use them for christmas lights, I rename them and plug them in there new locations get a no comm error. so I delete them completly from ISY and from their current locations (3 different places in the house) I manage to link them into the ISY again no problem, but if I try to control them I get a comm error, being somewhat smart I decide to remove them once again from the isy and now plug the four together back to back, 3 moduals and the plm directly connected, should rule out every possible comm error, but still get that error. No matter where they are in the house it willl linc and write updates but as soon as a command is sent get a no comm error, even if the PLM is plugged directly into the other 3 devices, and yes all 3 behave the same, but the 30+ switches in my houst are trouble free, seems to only be the add on moduals. I upgraded to 8.6 and still have same issue. Any thoughts??? Edit: if i do a query it will show normal as soon as I send a commandit will display a red exclamation by the device and the error.
  16. One last thing either of you take paypal Ill pay you to write the program for me? Log in my isy and do it, this is probably the only complex program I will ever need.
  17. I just read that topic can i suggest the two great minds make a you tube video probably eaiser, wow thats so much to take in at once, All my programs are very simple, turn lights on , turn lights off, sometimes dim, but you guys are like machines, man maybe in 2 years I migh know 1/2 of what you guys do. Keep up the good work
  18. Thanks so much guys, guess I have to do some more homework lol. I was hopeing for a much simpler solution, but I asm determined to make this work so I will try both your recomendations, also will read the topic posted. Thanks again to both. Rob
  19. can you possibly show a example of this? Thanks
  20. I have two motion sensors close together one for the drive way(#1) and one fro the front door(#2) I already set up programs for both of them now I would like to set up a third using the two original programs. Is there a way to trigger a event if #1 is tripped then #2 but not the other way around, my program looks like this at the moment. program driveway is true program front door is true from sunset to sunrise ...... set load entrance hall light on wait 3 min ........ set load entrance hallight off they way it looks to me is all that need to be met is that both programs are true, which can easily happen since they are only 10 feet apart. I would like them in sequence that only if #1 is true THEN it sees #2 is true will it run my event. because in the morning when I walk out my door to go to car I dont want to turn on my hall light to wake family up, but if someone approaches the house then i want it on. Thanks
  21. I have it sorted , I had a old program I set up where it was just sunrise to sunset, somewhere in the updates it was added to be abel to give you more control by assigning times before and after, you were correct, you must assign a time or it will revert back. So i just used 1 min, and she works, Thanks to everyone who helped, this is whats makes this forum a first class act, it's members.
  22. I adjust before hitting update, and i do not want a specific time for sunset, or sunrise i will let the isy figure it out. No question is stupid lol. I make the adjustments and wehn i hit update it reverts back to after insted od staying on before.
  23. I tried you method and still have same effect Rand, each time I hit update it changes the befor sunrise to after. hummm, or is this normal, I would think if you set it to before it would stay in that state. I remember setting this up a long while back, but now seems options have increased. here is the new setup via Rands instructions.
  24. Tim i tried you method but neverthelless this is what i came up with If Status 'Frt Ent Motion sens' is On And Time is Sunset And Time is Sunrise Then Set 'EKP Front door' Fast On Wait 2 minutes Else Set 'EKP Front door' Fast Off still the same result, but thanks never was in it enough to pay attention to the clipboard option, usually the isy works flawlessly, so I have rarely a need to be on forums. Kudos to Micheal
