Im not sure if this is related to this build, I upgraded to 2.83 the other day, and finally got around to making programs for my motion sensors, one command I want to use is after sunset, before sunrise. I tried many times to set befor option and each time I look its set to after. Yes i do update changes and save them. I tried flipping the option to before sunset and after sunrise, still when I go back and check both commands are set to after, thus my program will not run. Thanks for any help -
This may have already been covered but didn't seen to find the answer. I had the isy for a good long while now recently bought and built a homeserver which takes over the ISY ip and port, when i try to access the isy it goes straight to my home server instead, my question is can i configure both to be accessed via the internet and how? How can i say this time i wat the isy or home server running the same IP. Also i see more and more on url's is there a way this can benifit me? Thanks in advanaced

tried moving plm, when i do updates get the following error: failed writing device link request failed Even tried a motion sensor it failed to. I have a access point piggy back with plm, held the motion sensor 2 feet away from acc. point and plm stilled failed to write updates. Im at a point to wipe everything clean and start from scratch, if that is possible. Some how wipe out all my links to all my switches, wipe the isy clean and the plm. Although I would also like to know the root cause of this sudden problem. Not sure what to do? You offer awsome tech support but unfortunatly they are within my working hours. I spoke to rand briefly this a.m. and gave him my IP to remote access my ISY while im at work. I have the following problem the IP has been taken over by my home server, so what used to let me get into the ISY now directs the outside IP to my home server, is there any way to set up ISY so that Rand or Darrel can log on my ISY while im at work without disabeling my home server??? Home server uses 443 as does the isy. Some of the devices that need updates are right next to other switches that have updated. For instance Laundry lights load and garage light are using the same wire connectors and are sitting in the same junction box, so why would one update and not the other??? if they sit touching each other. -

I had a sudden issue, all was well, all of a sudden ISY wanted to write updates to all my devices, then recieved all types of errors cannot communicate or update any devices. The newest error is failed writing highwater mark. I can querry the devices and turn them on and off using the isy. I have rebotted the isy and plm then restore. updated the isy to the current update again, cleared the jave cache. When i try to update devices it seem to go through but never clears the update icon. The system is wack now. PLM shows connected, There is obviously a connection between the isy and plm since I can turn on devices. I cannot however add new switches. The system was unchanged and working fine. When I hit update it goes 100% without a error, but still shows that it needs to be updated. Actually the only change I did make was to FINALLY add my IR Transmitter, which when I finally did add it, I could never see the codes listed that i added in the actions option. As of the moment I did a update all devices and it goes to a 100% no errors this time but still want to update. HELP PLEASE LOL -
This is a two part question is there a temp sensor for water. I would like to set up the ISY to monitor my pool temp and to be able to turn my pool pump and heater on automatically. Part two is such a senson exists for insteon is it workable on the ISY

Id marry you if I were a woman, I have been searching the web for some time , just as I did a few moments ago, trying to find a app for my google phone, this is something you can put on android market. I have seen many posts asking for this, if I could help in any way feel free to contact me. Thanks a million

Ok i follow the instructions exactly, tried several times fectory reset, I now hear the second beep, so I program two buttons from 2 different remotes, and click finish (keeping the existing links) and tried (removing existing links) It seems to up date and shows writing to the device, when it is done I have no errors, but I cannot find the transmitter or any nodes. Like it did a blank run. At least the errors are gone, but how do I see the device or buttons I promgramed in the transmitter??? Thanks Ps my ir receiver had zero problems
-
The new beta version, alpha Also when I try manual linking by putting in the address, get the node error but the address should be 0F.A7.34 which is what I put in but on the error message it says [F A7 34 1] it missing the 0, I never paid attention if this is normal because most of the times my devices just work.

I know this is kind of out of the way but cut some printer paper into squares, by the time you insert the fourth square it will be black, so at least you have four dimming options My wife was b....., complaining too so I put 2 squares in each hole and peace at last

I never claim to be the brightest bulb..... I followed the instructions on setting this device up..... put the ISY in linking mode, double tap the device, point and press remote till beep, (now the guide says there should be a second set of beeps which never occures) when I use this method and click finish for the ISY it goes through the process, does not give me any errors, which I would recieve if I just tried linking with out an IR code *node*) but never shows up in the ISY. What am I doing wrong I tried 3 different remotes. Is it possible to let my ISY 99IR pro learn the commands and write them to the transmitter. Well guess first have to get the transmitter to appear in ISY Thanks Rob

well in fact the two switches I have had issues with, one controlls lights that use cfl and the switch located next to it controlls a fan, BUT I have the same setup in two other rooms and do not have problems. We may be onto something here lol. I acutally have most of the lighting in my house as cfl. -

The upgrade went just fine, the devices I had trouble with in the past, or at least the kpl update fine now but I get a new error message with the 2 devices that are in the same room as the ISY and access point. x-110022 couldn't open file [/conf/web.cfg] x-200000 failed writing device link [gameroom lights] -

Sorry mis worded it they are access points. for the two switches I get failed writing device link. They are both different versions. I can controll then via admin console. I also just tried one better by moving my access point to the outlet next to the switches and still no luck. On another note do you guys offer a service free or paid to write programs. I have some complax programs in mind but probably will spend hours setting them up that someone with good knowledge can write in minuets. -

New problen (i'm so sorry Micheal) In the same room that i have the Isy I also have the PLM and a signallinc..... In the same room I have 2 switches 2476D ver 27 and 2476s v.2c . I have the little green arrow to write update device, I do that and still it stays there. I cant believe that two devices so close to the ISY, PLM, Access Point, and bieng that the switches are on the same line, that there is a signal problem, last time i upgraded to 2.9 found out that ver 35 was a problem, but theses two switches were not affected, when I upgraded to 2.10 I actually had several switches affected other then the 2 I mentioned. Any thoughts -

To things "i know and read the warnings to late" my fault. I do not have a back up going back to 2.7, so I upgraded from 2.9 to 2.10 and have some issues with key pads. Should I just delete them and re add them. Also you had mentioned that the ISY can send ir codes through the irlinc, so I can make the tv, etc turn on. How is this done??. Ps just ordered my new switches to replace the v35 ones I know how to add the code, but how do I command the isy to send that code -
LOL well my ver35 will be on ebay by weeks end , but have been using ISY and all the updates with ver35 for over a year and this was the first time I ever saw a problem with it. Yes you are correct thats the beauty that micheal brings us is the software control. So new version here I come
-
Oh did not mention that, this is not a ISY issue. The switches them self may prevent the ISY from writing to them. Micheal has a solid code written. Due the the filter in v35 prevents the isy at times. Please do not contact Smart Labs for warrenty also because the switches will function correctly using manual setup.
-
Ok i think I have it sorted. I spoke with steve lee who called me and helped. He did say that some internal device on ver35 have some sort of filter, and can cause the ISY not to write properly. I installed the old version and strangely was getting those errors also. I suppose that the update might have cleared the switch memory and tried to rewrite on the switch a new format for group controll, with possible update. Neverthless the work around for ver35 is simply relink the devices manually. The ISY most likely will not be able to write groups controlls for v35. Once manually linked the ISY should be able to controll the devices, as expected.
