  1. anytime you reboot the ISY heartbeat using your programs will probably be false for 24 hours... i didn't go thru the logic of your programs to doublecheck, but that's my guess. Wait more than 24 hours from reboot and then check.
  2. I wish that you would come up with a better method for I/O: I often can't hear high pitched electronic beeps requiring my wife to listen for me. The Polisy unit is not located where anyone normally is. If we need to hear 4 beeps, someone has to go stand by a closet in the basement and listen. Same is true of button presses on the front of the unit and/or looking at what the lights are doing-- it takes the addition of a step stool to do either of those things. Sure it's fine to do all those things when diagnosing a unit that isn't working correctly, but none of those things should be a part of routine maintenance items. We also hate instructions such as this because we don't know what time frame that should occur in, do we wait 30 second, or could it be an hour? what do we do if we never hear the beeps? There has to be a better way....
  3. The manual for the 1026 is inconclusive about whether you can just use a momentary contact to actuate the door. It states it must be used with the included wall control which might make it more difficult. If a normal doorbell button can be wired to the door to actuate it, you shouldn't have any problem adapting it to the zooz. On the other hand, if the operator ONLY works with the included control, you might need to get out your soldering gun and track down the actual button pad on the circuit board to wire a momentary button. I really don't know very much about the Zooz product line or what apps it has available.

to add to @Bumbershoot Depending on how old your Polisy is, it may need some updates before it can run ISY on Polisy (IoP). If you know how to ssh to polisy, do that, login as admin, default password is admin, change it with the command passwd. Type uname -a if the version you see is below 13 (like 11 or 12) then go here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide#Polisy_OS_Versions_Below_13 That's an abbreviated set of instructions, if you need more detail just let us know. There's a couple other threads we can link with more detail.
  5. Right click each device (0ne at a time) and choose restore device.

I assume this request is in regards to this: I'll PM a copy of the Excel Spreadsheet I use.
  7. I'm not sure if I'd call that "working as expected" or "long time bug", but it's true that you can't cross midnight with the sunset or sunrise offset. When you do cross with a "From... To" style program schedule you must specify "Next day" if the "To" crosses midnight. the simple workaround for this program is If Time is Sunset Then Wait 5 Hours Set 'Outside / Malibu ZW 003 On-Off Power Sw' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  8. @brettaThe problem is that you have a folder condition on your “My Programs” folder that is evaluating to false. No program will run.
  9. @bretta do NOT factory reset. My initial reaction is I suspect a folder condition. Could you post a screenshot of your program tree. Make sure status icons is set to detailed (right click a program name to find that).
  10. The best method to count resources used is the PG2 Node server called ISY Inventory. (there is also pg3 version, but at its price I can't recommend it, its quite pricey for what it does-- especially since what it counts the ISY should provide natively.)
  11. I don't use chrome (it's installed and occasionally used for testing), but I'm not sure what job the browser has here. Neither start.jnlp nor admin.jnlp open anything in the browser. Nice you got it working the way you want, I hope the site listed as IE Tab is a legit site offering reasonably safe extensions.

Agree with @larryllix ... you need to either continue your ticket or open a new one for that.
  13. Study the ISY Cookbook--- a 692 page pdf of the examples you seek!
  14. @mango If it's a bug then you should open a ticket to make certain it gets tracked. support@universal-devices.com
  15. there's two options in this thread:
  16. @mango THIS THREAD
  17. I'll have to watch for it, but someone just posted in another thread an example of some wallplates they had printed for the labeling.
  18. Zooz Zen17 is the device roughly equivalent to the insteon I/O Linc except Zen17 is 2 in one. You'd need to create programs in the ISY to operate the door operator. That's also assuming the door operator is compatible with a standard push button. What make and model is your door operator?
  19. Edit to add: Reboot the computer before any of the below... Open socket is a network issue, reboot may solve. did you check the unchecked box? (you should). You're likely using the ISY launcher, You can also delete that from your desktop and remove the start.jnlp file then redownload start.jnlp. I don't think you should need that step. And of course the nuclear option is uninstall Java, find and delete the java temp directory (usually: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java ) and then reinstall a fresh download of java from https://www.java.com although you shouldn't need this option either. I suspect it's checking the delete option "Installed Applications and Applets" that will help.

Open a ticket support@universal-devices.com (they will probably answer today, they are slower on weekends). I'm not sure why you can get thru one upgrade but not the other.
  21. Don't set a static IP on the ISY itself, instead set and address reservation on your router. I very definitely like the ISY to have the same address, but i don't configure it as a static IP, instead I use and address reservation so that DHCP will always assign the same one. The reason setting a fixed IP is bad is if the router dies and the new network uses a different addressing scheme it's impossible to get your ISY back online without a factory reset. I use Address reservation for about half the devices on my network. and I have an Excel Spreadsheet of MAC addresses should I ever need the data for a new router.
  22. I just have no idea, how to get you where you need to be. I don't understand why you can't get the ISY online. I assume the reason it goes offline is it's error-ing out. which does lead to the question what are the lights on the front doing? If it's only the Blue power light, then try a different power supply, maybe you also have that issue. from the wiki: Only Power Light Is On: Most probably power supply related. You can try any power supply that outputs anywhere between 5 volt and 30 volts, center positive, 2mm barrel connector

@CopyRon after loging in, when you get to the prompt [admin@polisy ~]$ hit enter a couple times, then try typing (not sure why you can't paste-- have you tried using Ctrl-v?) at new prompt.
