ISY994i & Brultech without Zigbee?

Hi,

 

I have the basic ISY994i...the "non-pro" without Zigbee.

 

Is it possible to connect a Brultech monitor to my ISY unit via serial or some other method? Perhaps with a PC?

 

Or is Zigbee the only option?

Hi Planethill,

 

You do need the energy monitor module ($49.00) - this module will enable you to have ISY poll ECM (as long as you have Etherbee/EP1) on a regular interval. In case you get the Zigbee radio, then the same module allows you to communicate with it via Zigbee.

 

All this said - and to me - it'll be much less expensive if you were to purchase the Zigbee upgrade ($100.00) which comes with the module and you don't need an EP1.
