Smile4yourself Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Here I am again, with more problems. I've been trying to access this forum with different devices, including the ipad and my linux pc, but it seems that the password gets clobbered and it takes about a day to get in again. I think the issue is when I set cookies so I can log-in without having to sign in each time. After Tapatalk (an ipad app) would not let me in any more, I tried Chrome (on the ipad). The forum let me attempt to login again, and gave me small pictures to choose from (which were not visible in tapatalk) but any choice made (of course I chose the right pictures! ) the forum takes you back to the login screen with more pictures to choose, but with the username and password fields blank. Entering the data again brings you to the same place. I finally asked again for a password reset and went back to the linux pc under Firefox. I followed the link from my email and the cookie I had logged me in directly. No chance to change the password. Here I am, looking at the User Control Panel, but one can not change the password here. The only option is to logout and erase the cookie and try again, but before I get locked out again, maybe I could suggest an option to change one's password in the User Control Panel. Best wishes to everyone working so hard to make the forum work well.
Michel Kohanim Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Hello Smile4yourself, I am so very sorry for all the problems you have been having. That option already exists: User Control Panel | Profile | Edit Account Settings (on the left). With kind regards, Michel
Smile4yourself Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Thanks for your support Michel. After you changed my pw, I managed to get into the forum with Safari, changed the pw, logged out, and could log back in this time. Now i'm in Tapatalk and as you see, I logged in, so things seem to be working well. Thanks again. Best wishes
