Cannot Determine Insteon Engine

Thanks but I guess that doesn't really answer my question.  I understand their could be power line issues.  What I don't understand is why I am dependent on power line at all, both devices are dual band and in the same room.  Why don't they just link over RF?

RF is much more sensitive to interference than power line.
