genobx2 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Hi- I just upgraded to ISY994. I have Mobilinc Pro, which is working beautifully on my home network. I cannot get it to connect when on cellular. I have port forwarded (I am somewhat familiar as I used Mobilinc with Insteon, which worked fine remotely). My local http and secure https are the same; my local port and secure port are different. I assume Mobilinc adds the secure port after the address, so that is not included in the address. I feel I am missing something simple here- I have spent several hours scanning previous posts but cannot find anything recent. If I missed it I apologize- please redirect me. I do realize Mobilinc Connect would resolve these issues, but I am a limited user and would prefer to manually connect. Thanks.
Xathros Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Hi genobx2- It is possible that your router is reserving port 443 for something else. Try changing the secure port in the ISY to 4433 and update your port forwarding in the router to match. Then in Mobilinc settings, change the port to 4433 and try again. -Xathros
genobx2 Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Thanks. I took your advice and changed forwarding to 4433, although my router did allow the other port. In any case, no connection. My http and https are both the same. my local port is 80, and my secure port is 4433. User name & password I rechecked. Connect is Auto. Rebooted both router and ISY after changes. Thoughts? Thx
Xathros Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Go to http://www.whatismyip.com from your computer, make sure the IP address returned matches what you are using for the IP address in Mobilinc. Using that IP in your browser see if you can access the ISY via: https:///admin That will let us know if your port forward is working. Also, in the ISY admin console, Under Help / About, what does it show for Internet access? It SHOULD say disabled if you are using manual port forwarding. If it says Enabled, then go to the File menu and select Disable internet access. -Xathros
genobx2 Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Thanks for the reply, Xathros, It says my ip is 108.231.218.xxx I cannot connect to this address using either my computer or my iPhone browser. If I use the address 192.168.1.xx I can get to the console, and it says my address is 192.168.1.xx and my local port is 80 and my secure port is 4433. Internet access was already disabled. thanks.

Once I corrected that, I followed your instructions and was able to connect through my browser, and then through Mobilinc. Thanks so much. As usual, an excellent forum experience!!
