Keypad Linc not recognized in my ISY-99i

I have a new Keypad Linc and my ISY-99i does not recognize it. It has just says unrecognized device 1.65 and the id number is 29.41.91

 

I own several ISY-99s so we can't just stop supporting them.

If the KeypadLinc is new. It is very possible the last firmware {3.3.10} for the ISY99i does not support it.

You will also find the newly released Insteon Modules. Will not be supported by 3.3.10.

One option is upgrade to an ISY994i that has later firmware that will support the latest modules hardware and firmware.

 

There is an Upgrade Option on the UDI Sales Page.

Well the problem is I live in Canada so I buy my Insteon from AARTech.

 

I am not complaining but changing out the 5 or so ISY's I have not easy.

 

But I guess that is what is going to happen...

Ouch, I just ran into the same problem. Other than being unsupported, there is nothing wrong with my 99i. Before I pay to replace a product that has no problems can UD please indicate how long they plan to support the ISY994i before I am told that I need to upgrade again? To be honest, this feels slightly like a shake down. I hope that in the even that I stay with the product through this "Upgrade" that there is truly something that has been upgraded.

I am so very sorry. We ran out of code space in 99 otherwise we would not even dream of doing such a thing to our customers.

 

ISY994 has more memory, a faster flash, a micro USB and support for microSD/SDHC cards. In addition, ISY994 has an expansion slot to support Z-Wave or Zigbee devices.
