mikegarcia Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 lately, my ISY994i has been activating a scene without any reason. the scene gets restarted about every minute and when this event occurs the scene never ends. this is a new problem as the unit had been working fine prior. i have tried resetting the plm and rebooting the ISY with no resolution. any ideas?
PurdueGuy Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Did you make any programming updates lately? Sounds to me like you might have a program that fires based not status of some device. That device is then updated by the program, causing the program to re-trigger. Check Programs -> Summary and click "Last Run Time" twice to sort by most recent date.
mikegarcia Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 no recent programing changes. here is a screenshot of a portion of last nights log. LeeG Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 The Log indicates a Program is issuing the Set Scene. Right click My Programs, select Find/Replace. Search for Scene Outside Lights Full On name. From the time spacing it looks like it might be a Motion Sensor driving the Program.
mikegarcia Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 thanks for your help but what should i do when i find the scene in the Find/Replace window. also, if a motion sensor is causing this problem, why is it omitted in the log?
oberkc Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Another option to consider is to look at your program log and see if any fired at the time of the latest log event. If you can identify a program that is causing this, then you should be able to make adjustments to make it behave more as you intend.
LeeG Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The Motion Sensor has to change states to appear in the Log. It could be in On Only mode for example or not sending Off commands, perhaps because the battery is low. A low battery can produce false motion messages. When the potential Program is identified it can be Disabled to verify it is the source of the Set Scene ..... On. Can also run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3 and watch the messages being sent, assuming it is a Motion Sensor triggering the Program.
