Zellarman Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Currently while editing a program, when you select a specific line of program, it shows up in the area below as it was originally written and then you only have to change whatever it is that you want to change, but if a device has been removed, more than the 'unspecified device' needs to be changed (or updated), it would be nice if the 'unspecified device' were the only portion of the code that needed to be updated.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 Zellarman, Thanks so very much for the feedback. This is on our list !!! With kind regards, Michel Currently while editing a program, when you select a specific line of program, it shows up in the area below as it was originally written and then you only have to change whatever it is that you want to change, but if a device has been removed, more than the 'unspecified device' needs to be changed (or updated), it would be nice if the 'unspecified device' were the only portion of the code that needed to be updated.
Sub-Routine Posted June 30, 2008 Posted June 30, 2008 The way I have found around this is to use scenes rather than devices in your programs. It is relatively easy to change the members of a scene compared to hunting through all your programs to find a deleted device. Rand
Zellarman Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 Similar to my original request, It would be nice if replacing devices was true for program coding as well. Currently having to recode programs when replacing devices can be a bit tedious. If only Smarthome made their products better so we wouldn't have to replace them so often.................
