Apogee50 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Is there anyway to interface the Liftmaster 821LM or Chamberlain MYQ-G0201 with the ISY99i?
Michel Kohanim Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Hi Apogee50, Not the remotes but I am using an IOLinc: 1. The relay replaces the button on the wall 2. The sensor is attached to the garage door so that you would know when the door is left open Here's a good start: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... e_Door_Kit With kind regards, Michel
Apogee50 Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 Thx a lot. To which terminals on the opener do I attach the Iolinc? There are 3. From left to right: #1 in a red box (above the learn button) #2 in a white box. To it's right it says: NEC CL2 #3 in a blank box. To it's left it says: 24V Thx in advance.
elvisimprsntr Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I have a chamberlain whisper garage door with the remote display/motion sensor. You can wire up a relay in parallel with the power wires to the display and it will function the same way as a momentary door bell push button to open/close the garage door. I have a relay output from my Elk doing precisely that, but you can certainly wire up the relay output of an IOLinc to do the same. The down side is that it resets the clock on the display which I care less about.

I would suspect that you could place a resistor in series with the IOLinc relay contacts to keep the display clock functional and still trigger the door. You would need to experiment to find an appropriate value. -Xathros Edited for spelling.
elvisimprsntr Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 The bigger problem is how to keep the damn nats and mosquitoes attracted to the display light from getting under the protective clear plastic. The people who design these things clearly, pun intended, don't test them outside of a controlled lab.
