Router has new subnet

I changed internet carriers and the gateway has switched from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1. Naturally I cannot login into the 99i and I cannot find the directions on how to telnet into the device to change the IP. Can anyone help?

Hello aanthony,

Long time no see!

The first thing is to reboot your ISY (unless you have 2.6.4 and above) ... this will make ISY ask for a new IP address. When this is done, then ISY should automatically show up on your network neighborhood or be accessible through http://www.universal-devices.com/99i .

To telnet, first you have to have ISY's IP address and then:

1. Go to command prompt (start->Run->cmd)

2. if you have 2.6.4 and above then type: telnet your.isy.ip.address

3. if you have 2.6.3 and below then type: telnet you.isy.ip.address 126

With kind regards,

Michel

If you had the ISY configured for a fixed IP address, consider changing your PC's IP address temporarily in order to telnet to the ISY.

Go into your network properties, and change your PC's IP address to 192.168.0.99 or something similar. Then telnet in and change the ISY. Then change your PC back to a dynamic IP.

Good luck!
