barkster Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 my thermostats were acting up and i have found that my climate data is blank. when i click the weatherbug link it says not found. http://api.wxbug.net/getLiveWeatherRSS.aspx?ACode=A4580152882&stationid=KIAH&unittype=0 doest work
LeeG Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 There is no WeatherBug that the ISY has access to. They changed their API and established fee system that made use of WB impossible. Need to install 4.2.5 which uses a different weather system (HAM).
barkster Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) funny because it seemed to have quit working today or something caused it to quit today. I'm using an isy-99i though, isn't that for is isy-994i I'm on 3.3.10 which seems to be the last firmware put out for the 99i Edited July 17, 2014 by barkster
LeeG Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) Need to move to a 994i. The 99i is now past End of Life. It was discontinued more than a year ago. Edited July 17, 2014 by LeeG
barkster Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) I just removed all the climate stuff for now till I get a 994. Will my plm work with the 994? Is the controller the only thing I need to change? Edited July 17, 2014 by barkster
LeeG Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 The PLM will work with the 994i. It may be necessary to get new copies of any optional modules. I do not any so have no direct experience with that area.
Xathros Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 All modules can be transferred to the new 994. Simply send the UUIDs of both the Old and New ISY's to support and request the modules be transferred. -Xathros
simpsonc Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 I have an ISY 994i (1120). I recently upgraded to Firmware 4.2.3 and UI 4.2.5 to move from WeatherBug to HAMweather. After upgrading, I ran the "Irrigation - Reset Variables" action. Although I'm getting most of the weather data (Temperature, High, Low, etc.) I am zeros for Evapotranspiration, Irrigation Requirement and Yesterday's Water Deficit which I use to trigger my sprinklers. What else do I need to do to get all of the weather data populated for use in my programs?
Techman Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 (edited) You'll need to upgrade your firmware to 4.2.5 as HAMWeather is better supported beginning with that release (see the release notes for bug fixes). Edited July 18, 2014 by Techman
Shadowen Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 How do I uninstall the climate module now that it is no longer working?
LeeG Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Shadowen Upgrade to 4.2.5 where it is working using HAM stations.
Shadowen Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Shadowen Upgrade to 4.2.5 where it is working using HAM stations. I upgraded to 4.2.5 but now when I go to the Climate tab nothing comes up when clicking 'Find' (I am using the City name not the Zip Code) and if I use the 'Locate Me' functionality it locates a nearby city but then no areas appear in the 'Choose Area' dialog. Update: I put my zip code into the Location ID field, clicked Save, and it started working.
Michel Kohanim Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Hi Shadowen, That's not the correct station. Please clear your Java cache and retry. With kind regards, Michel
