jmed999 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 It's 1:40 PM here and although it's cloudy and sprinkling the light % is showing as 8%. That is way off. I've noticed my light % being off a lot lately. Anyone else noticing this? Does the new module use light % to calculate ET? Is the light % from my PWS's light sensor or from a chart/table of some sort? Thanks!
IndyMike Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Unless something has changed, light% is not used in the ET calculation. Daytime sun exposure is based on your lat/lon and month/day.
jmed999 Posted July 19, 2014 Author Posted July 19, 2014 Thanks! So my light and solar rad sensors aren't used by the isy other than to report the light percentage?
Michel Kohanim Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Hi jmed999, IndyMike is correct. ISY calculates Solar radiation on its own and does not use anything coming from the climate module. With kind regards, Michel
jmed999 Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 Thanks for the info guys! My light percentage still seems to be way off at times. Should I submit a ticket? Thanks!
jmed999 Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 My light percent this morning is 3% and its 2 hours past sunrise. It's cloudy but pretty bright here.
jmed999 Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 It's now very sunny here at 3:26pm. My light % is showing 50%. Seems like it would be close to 100%
