easytim Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 (edited) I want to control my 8 zone Smartenit model #5010A irrigation system using ISY994i and having (weather bug) not used anymore now its Ham Weather at ($25.00 per month) tell my irrigation system its time to water the yard . Can this be set-up like this? THANK YOU. . I'm new with this stuff, so this I'm sure its a stupid question, why would we wamt a weather service to hook up to and ISY if you can't use it to control something ? Whats the best way to controll a water system using weather reports? Edited July 27, 2014 by easytim
Michel Kohanim Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Hi easytim, Of course this can be done. I am just a little confused about $25.00/month. Where did you get that from? Please do not hesitate to contact our support (links below) if you need any help with installation/configuration. With kind regards, Michel
easytim Posted July 27, 2014 Author Posted July 27, 2014 Its something I read, but I'm new so what do I know. Your saying Ham Weather is free? Thank you
Michel Kohanim Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Hi easytim, HAM Weather is a one time fee of $49.00 for the module. There are no monthly fees. With kind regards, Michel
dennisric Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I just purchased this 5010A EZFlora but my ISY-994i says it is not supported. Is this true? How can I control this thru the ISY-994i? I have the 4.2.30 firmware installed.
LeeG Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3. Use New INSTEON Device to add EZFlora and post event trace. I just added an EZFlora to 4.3.1. Don't think there were any changes added to 4.3.1 in this area. Also click Help | About and verify UI is 4.2.30.
dennisric Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Thanks for the answer. It took three tries before ISY recognized it. I am running 4.2.30. I want to set this up so I can control remotely while on vacation. My sprinkler runs off my well which I have set to turn off when my alarm is armed to on and it turns back on when the alarm is disarmed. This way I can remotely turn well back on run a sprinkler program and then have well shut off again when watering is done. Water is never on when house is unoccupied.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Hi dennisric, We had this issue with another device and it turned out to be the device was reporting a nonsensical category/subcategory. Can you please go to http://your-isy.ip-address/rest/nodes/address of this device> and paste it back here? With kind regards, Michel
