I'm trying to get my smart meter added, I'm on Centerpoint Energy in Texas and using Smartmetertexas to add my HAN device.  I added it last night and it went through the process online and this morning when I looked to see if it added my 994i it says it failed.  I'm giving option when adding device if it is a Load Control Device, Unspecified, Thermostat, In Home Display or Intelligent Gateway.  I chose load control device.  Not sure if that is right or not or if that even matters.  Also, I wasn't sure on Installation Code if it was 24 bytes or 32 bytes.  I chose 24 bytes. 

 

Enrollment Group: 0

Provider ID: none

Extended Pan ID: 0000

All RF

 

I've seen one user on here successfully connect to his meter from texas and I've PM'd but no response.  Anyone have any tips to get this connected? And yes I have read the document on how to setup meter and hasn't helped.

 

 

Hi barkster,

 

1. Please choose either In Home Display (IHD) or Intelligent Gateway when registering

2. Make sure you select ALL channels

3. Just to see whether or not ISY sees the meter, you can remove 0000 from the PAN ID field, and then click the binoculars to see whether or not any networks are found

When I remove PAN ID and click binoculars I get nothing.

Actually it goes from scanning to scan complete and repeats
