For the benefit of the forum members the following items are excluded from the 20% sale.

2242-222 - HUB, 2453-222 - DIN On / Off, 2663-222 - Dual Outlet Linc, 2635-222 - On / Off Module, 2245-222 - HUB Refurb?, 2992-222 - Range Extender, Some of the starter kits but doesn't show up?

Might as well just not have a sale, no??

New products should never be expected to show up though I am surprised to see the 2635 on the list.

I agree new items would not be listed for sale. Very surprised to see the DIN, Range Extenders, and On/Off. A quick look showed that some items were not in stock. So, this may have played a key role as to why it wasn't being offered for sale. The lead time was Dec. 01 to 12, 2014.

One would think a back order would still be allowed and given.

To me that is a missed sale and a chance to for those to try out on the Insteon product line. Most people know 99% of us wait for the all famous Black Friday event.

Its just sad to see a few things which I know people want excluded from the list.

Have to agree with Teken. I still strongly associate as an insteon customer, but hardly at all as smarthome customer. I spend less and less time on smarthome's site. It's more straightforward overall to use amazon or orchestratedhome as the buying channel.

I guess what is really frustrating is to see the various four packs at Costco, being sold (each day) freaking cheaper!

A friend on mine in the X10 Forums. Told me Menards has a large display and assortment of Insteon Products.

As I had posted a note on X10 support going away in later models. Some members liked the Insteon products with an added X10 Address in them.

As Richaree indicated, X10 has, and will be, removed from all future Insteon products moving forward. This is to allow more focus on the Insteon protocol and allow more room for firmware additions.

Just looked up, my local Menards has 30 different insteon items in stock! They appear to have smarthome's prices. It is good to know that if a key component dies like my garage io linc, I can drive somewhere close and get it replaced right away.

That's where I got started. My earliest inlinelincs started out being controlled by leviton x10s 4 way controllers and then slowly migrated over to insteon. I have just a couple of x10 switches and lamp modules left to swap out before I am 100% insteon, planning it for before Christmas.

Man you guys in the United States are sure spoiled! There isn't one brick and mortar store in this city that carries any Insteon products. Its all online sales and each and every one of them just rape you for in country shipping!

Now that the Canadian dollar has officially taken a dive . . . Its going to cost us all on the 49th parallel even more green backs to buy said items!  :x

Teken, You have Aartech up there in Canada. Its still online but they should have the full line. I would tell you friends to grab the hub1 while they can if they want to turn their x10 stuff on/off. It doesnt have much x10 support but it's more than anything else out there at the moment. Maybe x10 will come out with something.

Normally I would probably go that route with them. But, as of late it appears they are not very competitive in their pricing. I agree with purchasing the HUB I before its gone for those still interested in X10 support.

I am also very interested to see what X10 has up their sleeves. Brian H, any guess's what could happen from the X10 camp?

There is a X10 Wi-Fi unit in development.

A new X10 RF repeater is now available. With better performance than the old model.

One of the independent X10 software developers and X10 forums administrator.  Has written a program that allows the AHP software users to install it on a new computer without the need of the defunct X10 registration servers. If they still have a working AHP on an older computer and can archive the few needed key files and find the original computers hard drive volume number. As the volume number is part of the registration files.

Is this in essence they are trying to bridge X10 with WiFi? I was never in the X10 game so please do share what did the servers do for the end users?

Details on the Wi-Fi unit are not firm yet. I believe the hardware is done but the software contractors software is not up to par yet.

The AHP software and its plug ins had to be registered through the now dead X10WTI Servers. So moving to a new computer or reinstalling after a crash didn't work. From what I have seen posted. Part of the registration used the hard drives volume number in the registration process. Reformat the drive or use a new one. Most likely created a new volume number and using backed up file from the working AHP failed due to the different volume number.

They are still working on a version that bypasses the server and installs with out messing with the volume number.

The servers also did all the remote video access for their internet cameras so they also no longer have remote access.

For those who missed the $50 free shipping a few days ago.

Now it is Cyber Monday 2014 sale with 22% off and free shipping on orders over $50.

Sale ends at midnight 12/1.

Son of a b%h!

Kinda expected these shenanigans cause they played similar games last year, but I didn't figure it was going to get any better than Saturday's 20% + shipping...

I know someone with a trebuchet near the border.  We may be able to get the shipping cost down a bit... :)

Hope you and the neighbors don't mind a few pumpkin strikes as we dial in the coordinates.

I think it goes with out saying its going to be a little trial and error.   I haven't laughed this hard in awhile thanks X! I figure if your spotter is very good it won't take more than 20 pumpkins to dial the correct trajectory and angle of attack.

I gather the recover net will need to be at least 200 feet in diameter if I want this parcel some what intact? You think you guys could add a little extra styro peanuts to the box for a little more padding?  :?
