Recommended steps to upgrade ISY and PLM?

I just received my new ISY 994  to replace my original 99.  I am also planning on upgrading my 2412s to the 2413S.

 

Can you tell me which order you recommend going thru the upgrade? Can i upgrade to the 994 now and then upgrade later to the 2413S? Or should I get the 2413s first and then do the 994?

 

Just wondering what is the best way to avoid headaches.  I have a houseload full of all kinds of Insteon devices.  And for the first time in almost 10 years they are ALL working (50+).  So I am worried about the 'if it aint broke dont fix it' thing.

Go to the WiKi it will detail all the required steps to perform and complete. Note, no matter what you do make a back up of the current settings, programs, etc before you move forward.

 

You should ensure the house is pretty much asleep and no one is around turning devices on/off. Ensure you have a solid WiFi, or better yet tether to your router to reduce any chances of your commands being blocked.

 

Prepare to take at least 2 hours to complete this entire process, get a nice hot cup of coffee, something to read, and sit and wait.
