Waketech Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 All, just got this today, linking was super easy however I only see on/off/query commands. From the website it looks like there are different tones available and LED colors, this does not seem to come up. The only spot were I do see some options are when I right click on the device and select config parameters, there is a list but do not know what they mean. Anyone have experience with this device ?
Michel Kohanim Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Hi Waketech, This requires multi-channel support which we are currently working on. With kind regards, Michel
Waketech Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 Mike, Will this be part of the version 5 update that will be released in Q1
Michel Kohanim Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Waketech, We are working on it. I just can't give you a firm date. With kind regards, Michel
Waketech Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 No worries on the date as long as it is in the works, keep up the excellent work
Teken Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Any idea when the Siren will be fully supported??? UDI has been working hard on releasing the next iteration of 5.XX firmware for the ISY Series Controller. My understanding is since 4.3.1 has been released more resources will be tasked to work on Z-Wave implementation. This encompasses multi-channel support for Z-Wave. Edited May 7, 2015 by Teken
Michel Kohanim Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Hi Teken, Thank you. Hi Josshe, We'll start back on Z-WAVE next week. With kind regards, Michel
Josshe Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Michel, Thank you for your reply. I'm guessing that the ISY recently adopted z-wave support and it's primary function is Insteon... I did not realize this at the I made the purchase. (still no regrets). However, I have no intentions of migrating to Insteon any time soon but wondered if there was a way to distinguish what works with z-wave and what doesn't? It's a bit frustrating to open a folder on the MAIN tab in the Admin interface and see the option 'ALL ON & ALL OFF' but that has no effect on z-wave so i'm guessing it's for Insteon. Which leads me to the question, would there be a way to squelch the extensive Insteon menus for a z-wave only user? Or should this best be posted on the request or idea forum. Please forgive me if this post is out of place.
Michel Kohanim Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Hi Josshe, All On/All Off is an INSTEON/X10 concept which should be renamed. If you are NOT planning to ever use INSTEON, then please do let me know (support@universal-devices.com) and I'll send you a link to Z-Wave only firmware which will allow you to put Z-Wave devices in scenes and not be prompted by the request failed issue. Please note that this is a one way street and you might not be able to go back to INSTEON/Z-Wave firmware. With kind regards, Michel
Josshe Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Michel, Thank you for your kindness, patience and understanding. I sent the request to the email address. I've purchase well over $1500.00 in z-devices which cover all but a few wall receptacles. So I don't see Insteon in the near future unless the wife is unaware and actually doesn't monitor my credit card charges...
Michel Kohanim Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Hi Waketech, What does this question refer to? Gen 5 in ISY or support for Gen 5 devices (they should already be supported)? Or, Z-Wave plus certification? With kind regards, Michel
Waketech Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Mike, Sorry the muti-channel stuff, getting all the data back not just a single item. For example the siren has different tones, etc.

Waketech Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Stu, Thanks, how do I manipulate/use these with the ISY ? Thanks
Waketech Posted July 10, 2015 Author Posted July 10, 2015 Right click, Z-Wave, Set Configuration Parameter Thanks, will try when I get home tonight and advise on my results
Waketech Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 All good, everything works, too bad you cannot set the volume
Teken Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 All good, everything works, too bad you cannot set the volume Doesn't post 15 give the details to adjust the volume? http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/16395-aeon-aeotec-gen5-siren/?hl=parameter&do=findComment&comment=142766
Waketech Posted July 13, 2015 Author Posted July 13, 2015 Teken, Yes, however i was hoping for an adjust from say nothing to full out. Would like to use it as a notify and alarm pending what is going on in the house.
fryfrog Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Yeah, looks like the volume is loud, louder, loudest and REALLY LOUD!
brianp6621 Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) Yeah, looks like the volume is loud, louder, loudest and REALLY LOUD!isn't it just 3 levels? And pardon me but how do I change those parameters from an ISY? This is only my second zwave and first to not really be supported fully. Edited July 13, 2015 by brianp6621

brianp6621 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 See post #15: http://forum.univers...ter#entry142766 I had seen that post but until now I had never seen the zwave "set configuration parameter" in the ISY UI. Thanks
