Zellarman Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I have a switch linc dimmer in what seems to be a bad location, but I'm having a real hard time figuring out what the problem is. I've seen people mention 'electrical distance' but it uses the same hot and neutral lines as an adjacent KPL in the same 2 gang box, and that switch has no issues. It's not the switch, I've actually replaced it two times, (the two previous switches suffered from the paddle press issue) and I've just installed a rev 4.0 SLD. It responds to all scenes, and remote commands no problem, but doesn't report it's status when pressed. This causes a scene status program to be out of sync, ironically it's a KPL button in the same 2 gang box that incorrectly stays on. Any thought or suggestions out there?
Michel Kohanim Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Hi Zellarman, Is this an intermittent issue or is it constant? If constant, please try Restore Device on it and let me know how it turns out. If intermittent, then it's either the switch or noise. With kind regards, Michel I have a switch linc dimmer in what seems to be a bad location, but I'm having a real hard time figuring out what the problem is. raypanic Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 I am getting similar issues, I replaced old SLD's with new ones (tact switch issues) and I am having communication issues intermittently. Also the ones with comm issues show a version V.24 whereas others without issues show V.35 In the admin screen. They are all Rev 4.0 and the ones that now say V.24 used to say V.35 when I initially linked them. After doing a restore and a query there is no change. I am still on firmware 2.6.3. ??? Ray
Michel Kohanim Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Hello Ray, Is this an intermittent issue or constant? If intermittent, does it depend on the time of day? With kind regards, Michel I am getting similar issues, I replaced old SLD's with new ones (tact switch issues) and I am having communication issues intermittently. raypanic Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 After a while of restoring the 2476D and trying to link it with scenes (unsucessfully) I decided to "air Gap" it and after that all is fine with it. The other new ones that that should say V.35 still say V.24 I may remove them from the system and re learn them.
Michel Kohanim Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Hello raypanic, There's no apparent correlation between what ISY shows as the firmware and what you see on the label. With kind regards, Michel After a while of restoring the 2476D and trying to link it with scenes (unsucessfully) I decided to "air Gap" it and after that all is fine with it.
