Nestor Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 My bad if the following feature(s) already exist(s). I currently use a Yale Real Living Deadbolt (YRD240-ZW series) and have been happy with the day to day operation. The only issue I have is with adding/editing/'deleting users. Querying the lock provides no info as to what users have been assigned user codes. Unless they are written down, it's impossible to see what has been assigned, and there's always a risk of inadvertently editing or deleting a user code. Ideally, It would be nice to have the following: An ISY-only user-field label. ie. User1 could be assigned a name, such as "Nestor". It's understood that these cannot be written or read from the lock. It would make things easier to track within the ISY. Code field. When entering the code, one currently clicks "set", presumably to write the changes to the lock. Could this information be stored in the ISY as well? Again, it's understood that there may be limitations on the lock itself, but maybe the info could be saved by the ISY separately. Failing (2), if there could at least be a "defined" status. ie. querying the list indicates that, say, User1 code field has been defined with a code. If any or all of these features could be added, it would make user code management much easier. (And save me the embarrassment of having to unlock the door remotely because I unwittingly blitzed a code. DAMHIK ) Thanks for your consideration!
Michel Kohanim Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Hi Nestor, We will definitely take a look. I do know that user-friendly names are not yet supported and on our requirements list. With kind regards, Michel
