ldrinc Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Just installed the zwave module to my ISY994i. Did a firmware upgrade. After the firmware install. I looked for the firmware version and the isy shows --- for both the firmware verision and library. Please advise on how I can get the isy to list the library and firmware version. dl

ldrinc Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 I realize how to get there in the ISY. However, I'm looking to find out how to get the ISY to represent what Zwave version and library that I am using. When I follow the steps above and select "Z-Wave Version" The results are: Firmware Version -- Library --
Xathros Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Do you have the ZWave hardware installed? If not, these will be blank. If you did install the hardware, make sure you plugged it into the BOTTOM row of the connecter. -Xathros
ldrinc Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Yes, I have the hardware installed and in the correct spot. All good now. Thanks for your help.
ldrinc Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Where do I find the option to "heal the zwave network"?
Xathros Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 However, this option does not appear unless you have some ZWave devices enrolled in your network. -Xathros
ldrinc Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Thanks, I have added a zwave device(Schlage Lock) and have noticed the option in the drop down. Thanks again for your help. One other question that I have is.... Is it a good idea to have my ISY controller housed in a metal rack? I am having a hard time getting a signal to my schlage lock in it current location (2 floors down). Does having the ISY in a metal rack attenuate the signal?

I am having a hard time getting a signal to my schlage lock in it current location (2 floors down). Does having the ISY in a metal rack attenuate the signal? Very likely. My ISY lives in the corner of my basement and I found that I needed the external antenna to get decent coverage. Others have found the internal antenna to work better but I suspect it all depends on the environment. Most transceivers do not like to be inside metal boxes. Move it outside of the box if possible or consider the external antenna mounted outside of the box. -Xathros
ldrinc Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 Thanks... I removed the ISY from the rack and was able to pair the Schlage Lock.
mpalazzola Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I have two systems talking to Schlage locks. Both were troublesome until a put a wired zwave device near by. I don't thing the antenna signal from the lock is that great. Put a zwave light switch near by, Bam rock solid results. Mike
