Though there are some costs involved, we do not have to pay monthly licensing fees ($500+/month) 2. The data is updated instantaneously The drawback is that you have to use one of their stations (in most cases within 3 miles of your location). Is there any plans for the "Weather" function in the ISY to include local weather from a home weather station? And if so, which brand would be supported. I particularily like the Davis product line. When you click on Find and when you enter your city/zip, you are given a list of cities close to you. Then clicking on any one of them, brings up another dialog with a list of all stations close to you (with distances). Then, what you have to do is to make sure it's enabled and click on Save. For this to work, your ISY needs connection to the Internet which I am sure it does otherwise it wouldn't have installed the module for you. You will be able to use weather information in your programs as conditions. Unless I’m (very likely) missing something, it also appears that the Rain Today argument in a program is always presented in Inches – I don’t see a way to select metric equivalents. While I would prefer to work in English units, since WeatherBug provides the rain value in Metric, it would seem that I could test: If Module 'Climate' Rain Today is 25mm But the program arguments seem to be presented only in Inches: If Module 'Climate' Rain Today is 1 " No big deal, I can certainly do the math to set up the proper test, just wondered how ISY handled the Rain Today value.

What you select in the configuration page should be applied to all entries in the program page (except for pressure which is mbar). I will have this looked at and will get back to you if we find a bug. In the meantime, if you change to Metric, all you have to do is to restart your Admin console to see the changes in the Program Details tab (all values will be converted automatically to the closest possible value). I am located in Calgary, AB, Canada. The native desktop application doesn't allow me to select Canadian cities, so I cannot tell whether there are WB stations located nearby. I have seen forum posts that some people close to the border are able to locate WB stations located in Canada by using a zip code located in the norther part of the U.S. With the ISY module, is it possible to pick/locate stations in Canada?
