Guitartexan Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I'm trying to add motion sensors and ever since a storm we had here last weekend, I get a rapidly flashing line of script under the "listening for devices" banner which reads "unexpected null database" and the add never completes. It gets to about 5% and says cannot communicate. Anyone heard of this? Thanks! GT Shut up bunghole -Butthead
LeeG Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 First put Motion Sensor into manual linking mode. Then use New INSTEON Device. Enter Insteon address of Motion Sensor, Name of choice and Auto Discover. Make sure Motion Sensor is near a Dual Band device. If that is not successful run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3. Repeat above and post event trace.
Guitartexan Posted June 5, 2015 Author Posted June 5, 2015 Very sorry LeeG, but they are Aeon Labs motion sensors. This rapidly flashing text is bothering me. Does anyone know what it is and why it is there? It looks like the visual representation of a short circuit. Thanks!
LeeG Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Sorry, no help for ZWave. Just be sure not to use Insteon function when working with ZWave device.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Hi GuitarTexan, I suspect you have a program that's in an infinite loop. Is it possible to get to Program Summary tab and see whether or not any programs are running? With kind regards, Michel

Guitartexan Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 Hello again Michel. I dislike having to say this, but the isy is acting up again. It will no longer recognize my garage tilt sensor or LFM-20 controller. I am working on trying to see if anything else won't communicate. I really appreciate all your help. GT
Michel Kohanim Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Hi GT, I got your ticket and will respond shortly. We could not communicate with your Garage sensor (I am not sure which one it was) .. I suspect those are secure devices and might need to be close to ISY. With kind regards, Michel
