I bought my ISY26, thinking I had the modem version of the Powerlinc. It turns out I have the 2414s. Im under the impression that this wont work. Is there any way to make this work?

Thanks!

Hello Andrew,

Unfortunately, no. The ISY requires the 2412S PLM.

Ok. Thats what I figured. Did I read somewhere that there is a way to flash a PLC with the firmware from a PLM to make it a PLM?

Thanks!

While that may be possible, I suspect that only Smarthome would have the ability to do so. Is your PLC within the 30 day return window?

Nope. I bought it a while back, but using the serial version of this thing is a real pain..I didnt want to buy a bunch of software, and the free smarthome things only work with the usb version.

I believe only Smarthome flashes the Firmware at the factory.

The 2414S is a PLC but I know for a fact my early 2412S PLM was a 2414S with PLM Firmware and even the original Daughter Card. Unused RTC Chip and all.
