kward Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I (Maybe short sighted of me) upgraded to iOS 9. I have not been able to open the app since, it prompts for my fingerprint - I use it, it seems to accept and the screen goes black; then keeps endlessly prompting for my fingerprint (I know they're correct because I use them to unlock the phone and they work fine) is there any way to disable to fingerprint some how without getting into the app? Ever since the iOS update I have not been able to use the Today view either - It just shows up blank. I have tried disabling it, and re-enabling, Rebooting, etc and nothing has worked. Please help - Not happy I am paying for MobiLinc connect and am unable to use it!
smokegrub Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Have you tried a force restart? Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button until you see the Apple logo. The screen will go blank and it will take a while for the phone to restart. If that doesn't work, you need to contact Apple.
InsteonNut Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Hi kward, Yes, this is the unfortunate risk of participating in Apple's beta program. I don't recommend that anyone use the beta releases of an OS unless it's on a device that you don't use or need on a daily basis. We actually haven't upgraded any of our internal devices yet. These early beta releases tend to be quite unstable and we end up chasing "bugs" that aren't really bugs in our code (fixed in a later beta release of the OS). From what other's have reported to us, Touch ID is broken in apps in iOS 9b4. In order to get MobiLinc working you'll need to delete it and reinstall. Once reinstalled, leave the TouchID option off. We're changing how the Today View widget works under the hood in MobiLinc 4.5. This might fix the iOS 9 beta issue, but we haven't been able to confirm yet what the issue actually is on iOS 9 beta4. InsteonNut Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Hi Folks, I just quickly tested our release candidate 4.5.4 against the new iOS 9 beta 5 out this morning and Apple has fixed both the Today View and Touch ID issues that were present in beta 4. Please update your iOS device to beta 5 and see if that also fixes the last official release of MobiLinc (4.4.1) for you as well. Wes
Sentinel82 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I'm running 4.5 since it was updated yesterday, with Mobilinc Connect, and on iOS Public Beta 3 (same as Developer Beta 5). I'm seeing the same thing with the today widget being blank. I've removed all the devices from the Today view in the app and added one back in, and still seeing the same thing. I also had Mobilinc crash twice on me while trying to remove the last device from the Today view. I'm assuming the today view widget is still supported when using Mobilinc Connect, without using the Extended Screens plugin, correct?
InsteonNut Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 HI Sentinel82, Yes, the Today View is still included as part of the MobiLinc Connect subscription. To clarify, the Today View on iOS 9 Beta 5 works on the iPad, but is still not operational on the iPhone. We're hoping Apple includes the fixes from the iPad to the iPhone in the next beta release. Wes
