danbutter Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 www.smarthome.com/evolve-guest-controls-t-100r-z-wave-communicating-thermostat.html Anyone used this with the Isy? Seems to be a rebranded rts like the older trane models. I'm curious to know if I could use this thermostat or another zwave one for that matter to do something specific. Could I tell a fanlinc to start my ceiling fan when the heat starts running? Then turn off when it stops running? Not sure how the thermostat reports current status to the Isy and whether or not this possible. Thanks
MikeD Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Hi Dan, I have a Trane TZ400BB3VZNNSL thermostat, basically the same as a Trane TZ45. I created this test program and verified that it turns my 'Small Bedroom' light On when my A/C turns On, and turns my 'Small Bedroom' light Off when my A/C turns Off. For your Heating system, you would use the drop down selection 'Calling for Heat' and it should work. ~Mike TraneCoolCall - [ID 0079][Parent 0083] If Status 'ZW 007 Thermostat' is Calling for Cooling Then Set 'Small Bedroom' On Else Set 'Small Bedroom' Off
