Lamp Linc only works with Fast On?

Featured Replies

I have a Lamp Linc I factory reset and added to my ISY but for some reason I can only turn it on with Fast On.  Off works fine.  I had this issue with an LED bulb a year or so ago and it was because I think On Level was set to 0% or something, but this shows Current State: 100%, On Level (Applied Locally): 100%, Ramp Rate (Applied Locally): 0.5s.  Any ideas?

The On level has to be set to 100% for the same scene you are using. Insteon modules can hold about 250 different scenes all with independent On levels.

How are you turning the LampLinc on?

I'm turning it on from the ISY under the page for the LampLinc, just pressing the big "On" button and nothing happens.  If I do Fast On it comes on right away.  Off and Fast Off both work.  Even in a program "THEN set Living Room Lamp to ON" didn't work, had to be "to FAST ON".  Very odd.

Is the LED labelled to be dimmable? What's the result if you use an incandescent bulb?

On the Admin Console LampLinc page change the Local On Level to some other value such as 90%.   When that update is complete change the Local On level to 100%.  When that update is complete try the On and Off buttons again.  It sounds like the Local On Level is not set to 100% in the LampLinc itself.

Sorry everyone, it just started working after I added another device so I guess it was a comm problem.  It has a dimmable LED bulb in it, always worked fine before just started but seems to be good thanks!
